Surfing in Southern Israel

Israel has a thriving surf community and the southern part of the coast has some good quality waves to be explored. Man made jetties can produce some decent waves during the winter when the swells are more consistent and the wave size is bigger. Most of the surf spots are beach breaks which are perfect for beginners to learn. Israel might not be one of the top surf destinations in the world but probably has the most enthusiastic surf community making it worth it to share some waves with the cool and easy going locals.

The best surf spots in this area are Ashdod, Ashqelon, Gaza, Gute Beach, Goote Beach, Nachal Yarkon St.  and Zikim.
