THE ACCOMMODATION

Surf camp for Teenagers in Spain

The surf summer camp is located in a privileged absolute Beach front which means we will walk to the surf lessons in seconds. The accommodation is in bungalows in a camping complex with Seaview from the balcony of most bungalows.  It’s a peaceful and quiet holiday/residencial area. It is very safe and pleasant to walk around. There are a few restaurants and supermarket walking distance but not much more besides the beautiful beach, soccer and basketball courts and skateparks.

Accommodation in Bungalows with private bathroom

Each bungalow has two twin rooms, bathroom, living room, kitchen and balcony.

Maximum two people per room

At our surf camp we put only two girls our two boys per room. All linen included.

Meals Cooked with Love

The beachfront restaurant is specialised in Spanish cuisine but the Chef also prepares international dishes and delicious desserts for our campers.

Spanish Cuisine (Cocina Espanola) features considerable diversity. Olive oil (of which Spain is the largest producer) is extensively used. It forms the base of most vegetable sauces (sofritos). Herbs most commonly used include Oregano, Parsley, Rosemary and Thyme.

Garlic is frequently used, and the most popular meats in Spanish cooking are veal, lamb, pig, and chicken. Seafood and fish are also regularly consumed. Diverse snacks and appetisers (Tapas and pinchos) will be offered one of the nights as dinner.

Breakfast: A fantastic breakfast buffet with natural orange juice, fruit, a variety of hams, eggs, bacon, cheese, Milk and cereal is offered at the surf camp. Croissants and freshly baked breads. Jams, Peanut butters, Nutella, Fruits and vegetables, including salad and tomatoes.

Lunch and Dinner: First course , Main course, and Desert. This can includes salads, soups, pasta, etc. At least 1 source of protein per meal.

3 Skate parks walking distance

5 minutes away there is skate bowl for carving (Surf skate) small enough for beginners to start and practice their surfing turns. Best way to master the rail to surf technique. We recommend you bring a Smoothstar, Yow, or Carver skateboard this summer.

5 minutes walking distance is a Skating Pump track.

And 7 minute walk in Somo is a Skate bowl where you can skate or watch the local skaters shredding.

For Parents

The boys/girls will be supervised at the camp, in the surf lessons and activities extras we developed by our Chaperones.  We do bedtime checks and also there is 24 hour security at the camping. They will be surfing, doing sports and having fun but with the maximum security for them. The entire team of the surf school are qualified surf instructors.

Team Leader

Jadon will be your host. A versatile individual from South Africa with expertise in various fields, including surf instruction,  fashion modelling, and lifeguarding. His primary passion is surfing, and he approaches all students with unwavering patience and enthusiasm, regardless of their skill level, to help them enhance their ocean navigation skills. Jadon is a trained lifeguard with experience in the National Sea & Helicopter Rescue Institute | Advanced Search and Rescue.

Green pass: Unaccompanied free time

Freedom to walk out of the surf camp on the “free time” unaccompanied is also allowed only with parents authorisation. They can only leave if in company of at least one other camper. They have to carry their phones with them with full battery in case we need to contact them by WhatsApp or vice versa. They need to check-out and check-in with the supervisor. Green pass does not mean they can leave whenever they want. There is an exact time of “Free Time” and it will be during the day. No one is allowed to go out at night. No one is allowed to leave the town of Loredo and Somo, ride any type of transport, or miss any of the meals or activities. Alcohol is strictly prohibited. If late or disobeyance we will give first warning, the second time they will be automatically sent home. Parents are responsible for their child while unaccompanied.

Qualified surf instructors who speak English. All surf equipment included. For security reasons the surf lessons can only be taught on soft top surf boards. But there are short soft tops which are just like hardboard shortboards. So even if you are an intermediate surfer you can surf with these short boards (made out of soft material but with good hard fins).

Surf Levels

We offer three surf levels:

First Time surfing or only surf a few times a year.

I can paddle on my own and stand up

I bring my own short surf board and wish to free surf. (under supervision)

The surf lessons are taught in soft tops. If you wish to surf a shortboard you need to bring it with you.

How are the waves in Loredo?

The beach in front is Loredo and very good for beginners aswell as experienced surfers. Its also for protected from the wind thanks to Santa Marina Island in front. At the edge of Santa Marina breaks a famous wave in big swells. And walking down the beach you can surf Somo. It is the perfect place for learning to surf and super fun beach break for rippers who already surf.

Surf Skate at our Spain kids surf camp

Surf skate is one of the best ways to simulate riding a surf board.

Surf Skate ramp (carving)

There is a carving ramp close by. We suggest you bring your skate board.

Somo Skate Bowl

Besides the skate carving ramp at the camp, there is the Somo skate bowl few minutes walking.

Important

In summer time the airlines and highways can have delays and traffic jams!!!

It is very important that your child has a his phone to communicate through Whatsapp with the person picking up at the airport (contact on booking confirmation).

Your child will often be one of many children arriving at the airport to be escorted to camp. Whilst our representatives will always try to arrange for onward transport to camp with the minimum of delay, it should be understood that your child may be required to wait at the airport before he/she commences the onward journey, due to flight delays affecting other children and/or difficult traffic conditions.

We help kids check-in on the departure day.
