Teen Surf & English Camp in England | Nomad Surf Camp - , CORNWALL. England

INTRODUCTION

Nomad Surf Camp Cornwall, England

Teen surf camp in England

The Nomad Surf Camp Cornwall is a Surf and English summer camp in the UK for teenagers aged 12 to 17, set in one of the country’s most iconic coastal regions. Built on the experience of the Nomad Surf Camps team, organising international surf camps since 1995, this programme combines surfing, English immersion, outdoor adventures, and cultural experiences in a safe and fully supervised environment.

Older teenagers (16–17) enjoy greater independence, responsibility, and a more mature student experience within the safe campus environment.

Campers are based on a modern university campus in Cornwall, England, staying in high-quality single rooms with private en-suite bathrooms — a major advantage compared to traditional host family or shared dorm accommodation. The campus is just minutes from the beach and close to the vibrant harbour town of Falmouth, making it the perfect setting for an active and social summer experience.

THE ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation on a University Campus

It is a wonderful modern, spacious and green campus close to the seaside town of Falmouth. This all-in-one residential setting means everything is located in one safe, secure place. It’s an ideal setup for parents and students who value structure and comfort.

Residential Accommodation – Single Rooms with Private Bathrooms

Modern single rooms with private en-suite bathrooms — a rare feature for teen surf camps.

Unlike most youth surf camps, the majority of our campers are accommodated in single rooms with their own private en-suite bathroom, giving them personal space, privacy, and a more comfortable home-from-home experience.

This accommodation is especially popular with our summer camps / Junior Summer School teens, combining independence with full support.

For older participants (16–17), single rooms and age-based groupings help create a more independent, university-style experience within the safe campus environment.

What’s included:

✔ Single rooms (or twin rooms when required), all with private en-suite bathrooms

✔ Full board with varied, nutritious meal options

✔ Comfortable common areas for socialising and relaxing

✔ Access to on-campus sports facilities

✔ 24/7 on-site supervision and support

Campus Restaurant & Meals

All meals are served in the university campus restaurant, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided daily. Food is freshly prepared on site by the university catering team, offering varied, balanced meals designed for active teenagers.

Campers enjoy a buffet breakfast with continental and cooked options, plus hot meals and fresh salads at lunch and dinner, with multiple choices available. Eating on campus is convenient, social, and fully supervised.

Special dietary requirements can be accommodated when notified in advance.

Our Team Leaders

Our Nomad Team Leaders are fun, responsible, and experienced in working with teenagers, with backgrounds at our other Nomad Surf Camps across Europe. All team members are DBS checked.

Barney is friendly, polite, and always on hand to support the students and make sure everyone is safe, included, and having a great time.

Peyton  — a surfer, skater, and certified yoga teacher. Polite, positive, and always approachable, Peyton is always ready to surf, shoot content, play basketball, or jump into any activity with the group.

Care & Safeguarding

At Nomad Surf Camps, we understand that sending your children away from home is a big decision. The safety, care, and wellbeing of every participant is our top priority. From enrolment to return home, we provide a secure, supportive environment designed specifically for under-18s. All staff complete our internal Nomad Safety & Safeguarding Training.

We take clear and practical steps to ensure every participant feels safe and well cared for:

– All under-18s must provide emergency contact details and signed parental consent forms.
– Participants are grouped by age and ability, with close supervision throughout the stay.
– All staff, instructors, and activity leaders working with under-18s are DBS checked (or equivalent) and fully vetted.
– All surf sessions, excursions, and activities are risk-assessed, with additional safeguards in place for under-18s.

This structured approach ensures every young participant feels safe, supported, and included from day one.
