Surfing in Maryland

Maryland is located on the east coast of the USA and most of the shoreline of the state occupies a Peninsula that goes from Delaware Bay to Chesapeake Bay. There are good waves on both sides of the Indian River just up north from the state but the best chance of finding epic uncrowded waves is down south at Assateague Island. During winter time there are long waves and hollow barrels making this one of the best prime surf destinations on the east coast.
