Surfing in Kuta

Kuta is located on the West coast of Bali and was the main surfing area in the island when the first surfers arrived in the 30s. The main surf spots in this area are in Kuta Beach, a beautiful and long sandy beach that has multiple peaks and a few reef breaks. There are all kinds of waves from knee-high perfect for beginners to shallow and rippable reef breaks. Kuta Beach also has many surf schools and it’s famous for being the place where many people surfed for the first time in their lives. Kuta may not hold the best surf spots in the island but it’s definitely a classic surf spot worth to be checked.

The best surf spots are Airport Right and Left, Kuta Reef, Kuta Beach, Padma and Legian Beach.
