Surfing in Balearics

The Balearics Islands are an archipelago located on the offshore of the Mediterranean Coast of Spain. All the 3 islands that comprise the archipelago (Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera) are known for having beautiful beaches and a stunning coastline. Although conditions are not as consistent as in the Atlantic Coast of Spain there are still some good waves to be found in the Balearics chain of islands. The best time of the year to surf in the Balearics Islands is during autumn and winter when the wave size is higher and swells are more consistent.

Best surf spots in Balearics

The best surf spots are Cala Mitjana, Son Serra de Marina, Cala Mesquida, Agra’s Blancas, Cala Mandia, Cala Nova, Canyamel, Platja des Figueral and Sant Tomas.
