Ritoque

Ritoque is a consistent and powerful beach break located 40 km up north of Vinas del Mar. This surf spot has consistent waves and is sheltered from northerly winds. The beginning of surfing in Chile took place around Ritoque in the 70s, so the city has a classic surf and summer vibe. You will find a good left hander breaking near the headland called Punta de Ritoque located on the north corner of the beach. There is a nice channel close to the rocks that make the paddle out quite easy. Works best with lower tides, S to NW swells and E winds.
