Praia de São Conrado

São Conrado Beach is situated in the south zone of Rio de Janeiro and is known for having powerful waves. The left side of the beach works better with SE swells and has consistent surfing conditions even when the waves are small. There is also a good break on the other corner of the beach where the largest seaside granite rock on Earth is located. The beach is also popular among paragliders that take off from the mountain and land at the beach.
