Surfing in West Panama

Panama has many good quality surf spots scattered along the coast. Just a couple of hours to the west of Panama City you will find beautiful white sand beaches with mellow beach breaks  waves ideal for beginners. These beaches are more exposed to swells and have better water quality than the surroundings of the capital. If you are visiting Panama City this is your best chance to surf some fun waves.

The best surf spots are San Carlos Point, Rocky Point, Rio Mar, Rinconsito, Punta Teta, Punta Palmar, Playa Serena, Playa Malibú, La Vieja, Nuevo Loco, Mojón Beach, Las Bovedas, La Zurda, Isla Grande, Hawaiisito, Esmeralda and Chame Banks.
