Surfing in Mindanao

Mindanao is located in the Philippines and comprises the second largest island in the archipelago and a few other smaller islands that are famous for having volcanic mountains, green lush vegetation and amazing white and pink sand beaches. The surf spots in this area are still not as popular as the ones in the nearby island of Siargao which makes it a good destination for those who want to escape the crowds. On a good NE swell the breaks of Mindanao can be as good as Cloud 9 that is considered to be the best wave in the country.

The best surf spots are Audi Left, Badjang, Cait Point, Dahican, Jelly’s Point and Lanuza’s Doot Pooktoy.
