Surfing in Gower Peninsula

The Gower Peninsula is located on the south coast of Wales near the Severn Estuary. This is the main surfing area in the country and where most of the surf history and personalities come from. The region has an incredible number of high quality surf spots that dot the whole coastline from Broughton Bay to Langland. The swell magnet of Gower is Llangennith due to the geographical position at the west end of this beautiful peninsula. Just like the rest of the country the optimal time to surf in the Gower Peninsula is during autumn and winter when powerful southwest swells bend over the corners of the sheltered coves bringing to life the best reefs of the area.
