Surfing in French Mediterranean Coast

The waves in the French Mediterranean Coast are mostly generated by wind swells, There are many beaches along the coast where lots of surf spots can be found. There is a strong local surf community that regularly surfs which means that it's not as consistent as the Atlantic Coast but there are waves throughout most of the year. The best time to surf in the Mediterranean Coast is during winter time when the bigger swells reach the coast more often. The ideal board to surf in this area is anything that can be fun on a small day but still performs when with a bit more size. Funboards and longboards are always a good option since they offer a good chance to catch any kind of wave.
