Surfing in Central Coast Sumbawa

The Central Coast of Sumbawa has some incredible waves that attract surfers from all over the world. The most famous surf spots are located at Lakey Beach, a long and beautiful stretch of sand with incredible reef breaks scattered all over it. The area was discovered by australians surfers in the mid 80s and has been one of the main surfing areas in the country ever since. The best time of the year to visit the Central Coast of Sumbawa is during the dry season from April to October when solid south and southwest swells reach the coastline of the island and light up the magical waves of Sumbawa.
