Twyford Kids & Teens Camps - Winchester, Hampshire. England
INTRODUCTION
The Twyford Kids and Teens Summer Camp in England, UK is designed to help young people aged 8–16 build confidence, independence, and life skills in a safe, supportive environment with a closely supervised, community feel. Campers come from many countries each summer, creating genuine cultural exchange and friendships that last well beyond camp. With structured daytime activity choices, fun evening events, and local excursions around southern England, each week blends personal growth with unforgettable moments.
Children can choose from a wide range of activities in each session (morning and afternoon). The Multi-Activity Programme (Young Explorers) is always included, and campers can also add an optional specialist course: English Language, Young Global Leaders, or Young Creators (STEAM).
Details of our Programs: 1-4 weeks for kids and teens from 8–16 years old
- Multi-Activity Programme (Young Explorers):
This programme is included in all camps and features 30+ activities, grouped into three areas: sports (football, basketball, etc.), adventure (canoeing, kayaking, etc.), and creative activities (painting, drama, dance, etc.). Every evening has a different activity and excursions are included during the weekend.
Optional add-on Programmes are available:
- Young Creators (STEAM):
Where Science meets Imagination. Campers explore the exciting world of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) through hands-on projects — coding, design, robotics, art, and creative problem-solving. Ideal for curious minds who love to make, build, and create. - Young Global Leaders:
Build confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills through inspiring challenges, debates, and social impact projects. This program helps campers develop communication, empathy, and initiative — preparing them to lead in school, community, and beyond. Empowering young people to make a difference. - English Language Course:
Learn English in a fun, interactive, and immersive environment. Through project-based learning, games, and real conversations, campers build confidence and fluency — both inside and outside the classroom. Perfect for international campers looking to improve their spoken and written English. Students are placed by ability to a maximum of 10 in each class.
THE ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation:
The accommodation is dormitory style and the rooms usually sleep between 2 and 6 children. Usually the smaller rooms are for older teens. The rooms are homely and cosy and can be personalised with a duvet cover from home. We will ensure that children of the same age and gender are put together and we will try and split up all the nationalities so that everyone is speaking English.
Meals:
We have children attending from all over the world and so we try to cater for everyone’s tastes and requirements. With plenty of excellent and nutritious food to choose from, we have a salad/cold food bar with all mealtimes and also provide delicious vegetarian alternatives. We can also offer Halal meat or any other dietary needs.
Our Staff:
All staff are carefully selected and trained, first-aid qualified, and fully background-checked with child-protection training. Many team members are multilingual (including English-teaching qualifications), and because staff reside on site, children have support and supervision 24/7. Our policy is 1:6 Staff to Child Ratio.
