Whether they join for a short 3‑day session or the full 5‑day experience, campers go home with a stronger sense of self‑confidence, a positive attitude towards trying new things, and lasting memories of being outdoors with their peers.

With experienced staff on site, clear routines and a focus on safety, this junior camp is an ideal introduction to traditional sleepaway camping in one of the UK’s most beautiful natural landscapes.

THE ACCOMMODATION

Children stay in group tents within the camp’s dedicated campsite area, creating a fun and social sleepaway experience. The tents are organised by gender and pitched in a designated zone, with experienced staff sleeping nearby and a dedicated night‑duty team to ensure a safe and supervised environment at all times.

The campsite sits on a spacious 65‑acre site in the heart of the New Forest, offering plenty of open space for outdoor activities, games and downtime. Within the camp area there are shared facilities for campers, including communal spaces for meals, debriefs and group activities, making it easy for children to relax and socialise after a full day of adventure.

THE ACTIVITIES

Throughout their stay, campers take part in a carefully curated programme of outdoor activities designed to challenge them physically and mentally while keeping the atmosphere fun and encouraging.

Typical activities include climbing, raft building, bushcraft skills, archery, forest games and team‑based challenges, all aimed at building confidence, cooperation and resilience.

Every activity is led by qualified instructors who prioritise safety while allowing children to push their limits in a supportive way. Sessions are adapted to different ability levels, so both confident adventurers and more cautious campers can participate at their own pace and feel proud of their achievements.

Beyond the structured activities, campers enjoy informal playtime, games around the campsite, storytelling moments and opportunities to connect with nature, reinforcing the sense of community and the joy of spending time outdoors.
