Boca da Barra

Boca da Barra is the best surf spot of Itacaré. This break only works with large winter swells from S. When its on Boca da Barra has one of the longest waves in Brazil. This right hander peels from the open sea across a sandbank sea across a sandbank for 500-2000m into the mouth of the River Contas. On a really epic day this wave connects with Pontal creating up to  two minute rides. Be careful with strong currents that keep pulling you away from the take of zone.
