Our surf summer camp in France is in Hossegor. The area is called Landes, a surfers Paradise which includes world-renowned surf spots such as Biarritz and Hossegor. Endless beach of white sand and perfect beach breaks. Most importantly warm water. Ages 13 to 17. Teenagers from USA, Poland, Norway, Italy, UK, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Canada, Spain, and other countries. Learn French and English, Surf, and live unforgettable moments this summer, making new friends from other parts of the world. Most kids are Beginners but we also have an advanced surf coaching for kids who can surf.
Optional French language lessons with Qualified teachers from best language school in Hossegor. We can organise pick up at Biarritz Airport, Bordeaux Airport and San Sebastian.

THE ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation at our Surf Camp for Kids in France
Our camp enjoys private, exclusive accommodation in a charming lakeside hotel in the heart of Hossegor. Air conditioned rooms, each featuring its own private bathroom, our group benefits from a comfortable, safe, and personal environment.
While the hotel is perfect for rest and relaxation, the real experience takes place outdoors. We are located just steps from the lake and only a 5-minute bike ride from the beach and surf school. Our days are centred around the beach, where we have a dedicated shaded area for games, activities, and relaxation between surf sessions.
With its unique combination of nature, ocean, and a vibrant surf lifestyle, this camp offers a truly unforgettable summer experience.

Room Types
We offer a range of room options to suit different preferences and budgets. All rooms include a private bathroom and are located within our private hotel.
Shared Room (4 campers)
A social and fun option, ideal for campers looking to meet others and enjoy the full group experience.
Twin Room (2 campers)
A more comfortable shared option with 2 campers per room with two single beds.
Private Room (Double Bed – 2 campers)
Perfect for friends or siblings booking together. This room includes one double bed and a private bathroom.
Single Room
A premium option offering full privacy and comfort, ideal for campers who prefer their own space.
Pocket money
We encourage the parents to provide a Debit card in case of emergency and 150 eur per week pocket money for vending machines, supermarket, lunch and dinner on excursion day, ice-creams, souvenirs, drinks, tc. They will also need money for the first day as they will only have dinner included and last day when they only have breakfast included.

Our camp includes a full and balanced meal plan, designed to keep campers energised throughout the day.

A generous daily breakfast with a variety of options including fresh bread, pastries, cereals, fruit, and hot items.
Lunch (Picnic Style)
Each day, campers receive a fresh picnic lunch, including:
- A large sandwich from one of Hossegor’s best local bakeries (Lucas)
- A snack (chocolate bar or cereal bar)
- A drink and water
Perfect for enjoying at the beach between surf sessions.
Dinner (5 nights included)
Five evenings include a proper sit-down dinner at a local restaurant, with:
- Starter
- Main course
- Dessert
- Water and bread
Meals are simple, tasty, and adapted for active teenagers.
Free Evenings (2 nights)
On two evenings, campers will have the opportunity to eat more freely in small groups (always supervised and organised by our staff), enjoying the relaxed local atmosphere.

Our camps are specifically designed for teenagers aged 13 to 17, creating a more mature, balanced, and enjoyable group dynamic.
Our team is made up of experienced surfers and camp leaders, allowing us to offer an authentic surf experience while maintaining high standards of supervision and care at all times.
The camp is located in the heart of Hossegor, just steps from the lake and a short bike ride from the beach, providing a safe and vibrant environment for teenagers.
We welcome an international mix of campers, creating a unique social experience where teenagers meet others from around the world.
Our surf programme is carefully structured across 6 days per week, alternating between one and two daily sessions. This approach allows campers to improve consistently while also having time to rest and recover.

THE ACTIVITIES
Fun activities and surfing at our surf summer camp in France
Not only will you learn how to surf, but you’ll also have the opportunity to explore the stunning coastlines of Europe and enjoy the local culture. Our campers have the chance to participate in various activities such as beach volleyball, surf skate and exploring the local markets and towns.
The camps run for 7 days, although most campers stay 2 weeks. The Surf school (at the beach) is 5 minute bike ride from the accommodation.
The Surf Programme for Beginners and intermediates
Our surf programme has been carefully designed to offer the right balance between progression, time in the water, and recovery.
Campers will enjoy 6 days of surfing per week, with lessons delivered by a professional local surf school. Each session lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours in the water, ensuring meaningful coaching and real progression.
To maximise improvement while avoiding fatigue, we follow a structured schedule:
- 3 days with two surf sessions per day
- 3 days with one surf session per day
This approach allows campers to spend a significant amount of time in the water, while also giving them the energy to fully enjoy the experience throughout the week.
All lessons are suitable for complete beginners to intermediate surfers, with groups organised by level.
Surfing in Hossegor
Hossegor is widely known as the surf capital of Europe, famous for its powerful, world-class beach breaks. The coastline from Capbreton to Vieux-Boucau produces fast, consistent waves that attract surfers from around the world — from beginners to professionals.
It’s home to one of the main events of the World Surf League, confirming its reputation as one of the best surf destinations in Europe.
In July, the water is warm, the vibe is incredible, and you can often surf without a wetsuit.

Elite Surf Training (High Performance Programme)
Over the years, the level of surfers attending Nomad Surf Camps has significantly increased. We now welcome experienced surfers from around the world who are already comfortable in the water — paddling out independently, duck diving, and performing basic turns.
For these surfers, we offer our Elite Surf Training Programme, designed to take performance to the next level under the guidance of former French Champion and professional coach, Ugo Robin.
Training sessions take place at Les Estagnots Beach, one of the best waves in the Hossegor area.
Who is this for?
This programme is designed for advanced surfers only.
Participants must:
• Bring their own shortboard
• Be fully independent in the water
• Be comfortable paddling out and managing themselves in the lineup
• Be able to duck dive and ride both left and right waves

Coach – Ugo Robin
Former French Champion
Ugo Robin is a professional surf coach from Réunion Island, where he began surfing at the age of six. From an early age, he developed a strong competitive drive, progressing through national and international competitions.
In 2011, Ugo became French Cadet Champion and later represented the French National Team (2012–2013). He has competed in European Junior Pro events as well as international WQS competitions.

Performance-Focused Coaching
This programme follows a high-performance approach, similar to that used by competitive surfers.
A strong emphasis is placed on video analysis and personalised coaching, allowing surfers to clearly understand their technique and accelerate progression.

• Technical corrections and structured improvement plan
• In-water and land-based training exercises
• Supervised free-surf sessions
Each surfer reviews their waves with the coach, identifies key areas for improvement, and works on specific techniques to refine performance.
Beginner French Language Lessons
Our French language courses are optional. We offer qualified teachers from the best Language school in Hossegor. All levels from total beginners. The classes are 1.5 hour long. The objective is that children learn at least a handful of few important phrases of words per day. We are leaving the classroom to experience authentic real life situations. Each student will get a Language School Hossegor Diploma for the period of their study and proof of French level.

Free Bicycle included
Bicycles are included for all campers and are used for daily transport to the beach and surf lessons. Hossegor offers excellent bike paths along the coast, making it a safe, easy, and enjoyable way to get around.
Each camper will have access to a bike for the duration of the camp, as well as a lock (and helmet if required).
A small 100 euros refundable deposit will be required upon arrival.
Skateboards available
Besides the surf skate class to teach you teqnique which will help your surfing, you have the skates available for any other time.
Team Leader
Nathan will be your host and accompanying the group. A great surfer and a frother from GOLD COAST AUSTRALIA. A healthy individual into his daily strength and conditioning exercises. Always keen to stay active but most importantly he always has a smile for everyone.

✔ Surf Skate: We will train you to carve rail to rail on our surf-skateboards which are skateboards with a front truck that moves sideways to simulate the turns of a surfboard or snowboard. We have a surf skate ramp at the surf camp.

Where exactly is our surf camp for kids in France?
Our surf camp is located in the heart of the Hossegor area (Les Landes, France) — one of the most iconic surf destinations in Europe.
We stay in a private accommodation just a few minutes from both the lake and the ocean, offering the perfect balance between a relaxed setting and quick access to the best waves in the region.
Hossegor and its surrounding beaches — including Seignosse and Capbreton — are world-renowned for their consistent, powerful waves and incredible sandbanks. This is where many of Europe’s best surfers train, and where international competitions have been held for decades.
The area has a unique surf atmosphere: pine forests, long sandy beaches, bike paths everywhere, and a vibrant surf culture. It’s safe, beautiful, and ideal for teenagers.

It is very important that your child has a his phone to communicate through Whatsapp with the person picking up at the airport (contact on booking confirmation).
Your child will often be one of many children arriving at the airport to be escorted to camp. Whilst the representatives will always try to arrange for onward transport to camp with the minimum of delay, it should be understood that your child may be required to wait at the airport before he/she commences the onward journey, due to flight delays affecting other children and/or difficult traffic conditions.

Check-in Time
Our Surf camp for children in France starts in the afternoon. Check-in after 4 PM although you can arrive earlier if necessary due to flights.
Check-out Time
On check out day, the departures in the mornings after breakfast, although we can drop off at a later time if necessary.
