THE ACCOMMODATION

French Host Family

Staying in a French Host Family provides a complete French immersion experience and is the best way for students to improve their French during the stay with us. Staying with a French host family does not only give the students a great opportunity to discover the French way of life but also gives them additional opportunities to practice their French while sharing the meals with the family.

Junior students may stay in twin rooms with one of our carefully selected host families. Most of the families have been hosting students for many years and know very familiar with the experience the young students are living. The families live very close to the Junior language school or just a short bus- or tram-ride away.

Host Families are selected with the greatest care to make your stay a successful linguistic and cultural experience. The placement of our students in their host family is the result of a careful study of each application where our accommodation officer considers each students profile to make sure that the Host Family and the student will be a great match.

Most of host families have been hosting students for many years and are very experienced. They all answer our various criteria of selection (Charter and Rules): a sense of welcome and hospitality, a warm, clean and welcoming home, a good location and easy access (35 minutes maximum). The families live close to the French language school or are just a short bus- or tram-ride away.

Student Residence

Junior students aged 14+ have the possibility to stay at the Student Residence in single- or twin-bedded studios. The studio has its own fully equipped kitchenette, en-suite shower, toilet and washbasin, as well as bed, desk and wardrobe. General facilities include a common room with hot and cold drinks and snacks dispenser, a study-area, a light and spacious patio with tables and chairs and a laundry.

Our staff stay permanently in the residence, which means students receive excellent supervision and welfare, and a curfew is applicable to all students.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided either at the centre, which is just a short walk away, or in local cafés and restaurants. Our staff supervises the students at all times. Packed lunches are provided at the weekends.
