Young Adults Nomad Surf Camp - 18 - 21 years old, Algarve. Portugal
Rise your surfing to the next level!
We have thousands of kids that have been coming to the Teens Nomad Surf Camps around Europe for over 15 years but when they reach 18 years old and they are bummed as they can’t come to the Summer Teens camp any longer. So we have started the YOUNG ADULTS week in August.
This is for young adults from 18 to 21 years old. Some of these kids have been surfing with us for 3 or 4 years and they can paddle out on their own and get left and rights, some can do a few good turns. But this Young Adult week is to share with you the Waterman Surfing culture.
The Surfing lessons for those of you who are intermediate, will more technical than you ever experienced in any surf school. Complete beginners also welcome.
What we will teach you on this course goes beyond just surfing waves! We will put you through challenging situations, we will teach you about Swell forecast, about Surfing Etiquette and unspoken rules, and will prepare you physically and mentally for situations of water security.
We will take you fishing, spearfishing, on water crafts, teach you how to clean fish, we will visit Fishermans port and talk to the real fisherman. We will practice water rescue simulations, and teach you how to keep you calm.
This course will teach you ocean knowledge and will give you an experience that will help keep you and the people around you more protected. At the same time, you will take with you unforgettable fun experiences and make new friends for life.
As our tradition, we put on the notorious Barbecue Parties by the swimming pool.
This year we also have new Glamping tents which will increase our capacity to 80 guests.
Come and have fun!

- Surfboard Shaping Workshop: Once every 10 days there is a workshop where we teach the kids how to shape, sand, and glass surfboards. We do the same process as if they were real surfboards but in miniature surfboards so they can take with them as a souvenir. They have a little hole on it so they can be a key chain, a necklace or just a little sculpture.
- Beach Clean-Up: In between surf sessions, we organize a beach clean up, where the teenagers will have gloves and plastic bags to collect as much garbage as possible at the beach where we practice surfing. Every day the ocean throws thousand of kilos of plastics at many beaches around the world and this scenario is only getting worse. With this activity we try to show the kids how important it is to do our part and spread good practice to more and more people. We can not give up.
