INTRODUCTION
We organize language vacations for children and teens aged from 6 to 17. Recognized by the French government and several international organizations, its experience and expertise have become a guarantee of quality and security and set the standard today for French teaching. Language vacations during the Easter, summer and fall breaks, with a host family or on campus, plus VIP programs for the most discerning teens, a longer academic program for deeper immersion in the French educational system.

Teenagers are under supervision 24/7, except during the periods allowed by their permissions to go out provided by their parents. Our staff is always on hand to answer any questions, organize games, join in during the meals and overall being available to assist.

THE ACCOMMODATION
Antibes Tees Language & Adventures Camp
At Antibes Atoll Juniors, we organize French language camps in Antibes and from one generation to the next, almost everyone leaves with an address book full of life-long friends.
Security
Night security staff guard the campus from 7.30 pm to 7.00 am. Our group organizers always live on the premises. A free shuttle service runs between the residences/campuses and the town centre or beach.
The additional activities of the “Kiosk” are in accordance with the European standards of quality. All meals are prepared on the premises and conform to strict hygiene and safety standards (HACCP). If you want more freedom and independence, don’t forget to have your parents fill out the permission form. We must receive this document before you arrive in Antibes.
Supervision
Children and teenagers are supervised by our staff who is on the premises round the clock and ready with help and information.
Parental Permission
All outings are strictly controlled by our staff and subject to parental permission.
Permission to go out depends on the child’s age:
12-15 years: Students are automatically authorized to go out between the end of lunch (1.30 pm) and the start of dinner (7.30 pm).
16-17 years: For students living on campus or in a residence, parents can give them permission to go out unaccompanied in the evenings under the following conditions:
- One evening per week (Tuesdays or Wednesdays, depending on the centre) until 11.00 pm
- Fridays, Saturday evenings and days before a French public holiday until 1.00 am
Students living with host families can automatically go out alone under the following conditions :
- Two evenings a week (Mondays and Wednesdays) until 11.00 pm,
- Fridays, Saturday evenings and days before a French public holiday until 1.00 am
Parents are informed immediately when these conditions are not respected and the school reserves the right to ground students if necessary.
Horticole Campus
Summer
Located in the residential district of Antibes and surrounded by gardens, this 5-acre campus includes classrooms, bedrooms, a swimming pool, a cafeteria, a television room, an amphitheatre and sports grounds.
Bedrooms
Spacious and well equipped bedrooms sleep 2 or 4 students (single rooms are available at an extra charge). There are showers and toilets on each floor.
Maintenence
Bed linen is provided (but not towels) and changed weekly. Light cleaning is done daily and a thorough clean weekly. Students are responsible for their own rooms and should keep them reasonably clean and tidy.
Meals / Full board
All meals are taken on campus, buffet style. On weekend excursions picnic meals are provided.

Leonardo da Vinci Campus
Summer
Opened in 2007, this new 9-acre campus sits on the edge of pine wood. It includes bedrooms, a swimming pool, a cafeteria, a television room and sports grounds.

Spacious and well-equipped bedrooms sleep 3 students (single rooms are available at an extra charge). Bedrooms have an en-suite shower and there are toilets on every floor.

Host Families
We take great care in choosing our families and visit them regularly. All our families live within the Antibes / Juan-les-Pins municipality. We do our best to place students within walking distance of the school. However, some students will need to take the bus (max. journey time of 30 minutes), especially in summer.

Travels from home to school
On the first Monday, the family will bring you to the school. After that, you will need to get there on foot or by public transport (max. journey time of 30 minutes). Antibes has a very extensive bus network and all our families live near bus stops

French Course
Standard Course
12-17 y.o
20 lessons x 45 min/week.
Schedule: 9.00am – 12.20pm* Monday thru’ Friday (* 20 min. break).
Maximum of 15 students per class.
Grammar work and the development of oral and written skills through entertaining and motivational learning activities. Our dynamic teaching approach based on an active learning process stimulates children and teens, arouses their interest in language and improves their knowledge of French culture.
This course is included if you have chosen the “All-inclusive” or the “Non-residential program”.
Intensive Course
12-17 y.o
26 lessons x 45 min/week.
Schedule: 9.00am – 12.20pm* Monday thru’ Friday / 2.00pm-4.00pm Tuesdays and Thursdays. (* 20 min. break).
Maximum of 15 students per class in the mornings and 8 students per class in the afternoons. We work exclusively on oral skills in these mini-groups which encourage kids and teenagers to speak out. The course focuses on conversation and role-playing games. Teens practice the grammar points they have worked on in the morning through these learning activities. Oral and written comprehension exercises invite them to reproduce, reformulate and engage in debate using a comparative, intercultural approach.

Individual lessons are tailored to each student’s personal needs. These lessons can be added to all the other programs.
Delf Course
13-17 y.o.
26 lessons x 45 min/week.
Schedule : 9.00am – 12.20pm* Monday thru’ Friday / 1.45pm – 4.00pm Tuesday and Thursday (* 20 min. break).
Maximum of 15 students per class in the mornings and 8 students per class in the afternoons.
Duration: 2 weeks.
The morning lesson resumes the program of the standard course. Depending on the CEFR level, it works on grammar and develops oral and written skills through entertaining and motivational learning activities. The afternoon lesson, in mini-groups, is exclusively focused on preparing for the oral and written DELF tests.
Abiturkurs Course
16-17 years
29 lessons x 45 min/week.
Schedule : 9.00am – 12.20pm* Monday thru’ Friday / 1.45pm – 4.00pm three times a week (* 20 min. break).
Maximum of 15 students per class in the mornings and 10 students per class in the afternoons.
Duration: 2 weeks.
The morning lesson picks up the program of the standard course, with work on grammar and oral and written skills, depending on the CEFR level. The afternoon lesson is exclusively devoted to preparing students for the French Abitur test: aural comprehension (short interview, conversation, information…), written comprehension (press article, literary text, short story…), written expression (text summary, commentaries, presenting an argument…)

Kiosk:
The Kiosk offers students a full range of supplementary activities, for an extra charge, during their stay in France. These activities are available during periods of free time in students’ weekly timetables. The events team will keep students informed of the various activities on offer and manage the sign-up procedure. Kiosk activities are supervised and students will be accompanied by staff at all times. Examples of Kiosk activities include:

Antibes is located 10 km from Cannes, 18 km from the Nice airport and 1 h from Saint-Tropez. It’s near Paris, 1 h20 by plane and 4 h30 by TGV. It’s easy to get to from all over the world, 7 h by plane from New York, 2 h by plane from European capital cities
How can I get around Antibes?
The best way to explore the city is to wander around on foot, bike or scooter. The bus, effectively serving the entire city in a day (10€/week). In the evening, the succession is assured by the many taxis (student’s price).
- On foot: For short journeys, it is best to walk as you avoid traffic and parking problems especially during the holidays.
- By bus: The bus service goes all around town during the day. A single ticket costs 1€. A week pass costs 10€
- By taxi: After 20:00 our students get special rates with our CIA student card (between 10 and 20€ for 4 people depending on the journey).

What should I wear in Antibes?
- In summer:: The weather is very sunny and hot, so bring along light clothes and don’t forget your swimming wear, sunglasses and sun cream! A jacket is useful for cool evenings.
- In other seasons: Although the weather is mild all year round, don’t forget to bring along jumpers and jackets!
