Los Locos Beach Surf Hostel. Have you ever been to Cantabria? Explore the wild Spanish north full of nature, culture and, of course, surf!
We are based next to several beaches that give us the chance to choose depending on the level of our students, conditions are so variable here in the north of Spain. So don’t worry, every day you will have the chance to surf, only 10 minutes will separate you from the best surf spot for you.
Los Locos Beach Surf Hostel mixes surf, nature, and culture. Santillana del Mar is probably the most visited town in Cantabria and one of the most beautiful in Spain. The village is well known because of Altamira, a cave famous for its magnificent prehistoric paintings and engravings. It is only 4 minutes by car from our hostel!
We offer different types of rooms, from doubled rooms with a private bathroom to shared rooms with shared bathroom, ask us for more information. The breakfast is always included. Our surf house has many to offer: free parking, big common areas, garden or barbecue among others. You can use our kitchen to prepare whatever you want to eat, it is of free use.

The surf house is a typical building completely renovated to host up to 50 Guests in true ‘Surf Experience’ entirely dedicated to waves, culture, nature and fun! Los Locos Beach Surf Hostel. will make you immerse into the amazing world of Surfing. Everything for you to have unforgettable days of leisure and entertainment!
Surrounded by an enormous private garden, our hostel includes many facilities:

Surf
Our surf lessons are so participative and give you the personalized attention you need to improve your skills. Always small groups and personal training created just for you. Furthermore, we offer 2,5h duration lessons, in the water, enjoying the ocean as we like to do.

Los Locos (Suances)
Los Locos is a beach located in the Cantabrian central coast, with waves from 1 to 8 ft. The spot works at any time of the year with a swell coming from northwest and which provides left and right-handers waves. It is one of the most famous surf spots in Spain. The water temperature is going from 10°C in winter to 22°C in summer. It is recommended to wear a good summer wetsuit even if the temperature outside is warm. The weather can change very quickly.
La Concha (Suances)
Right in the middle of Suances, this beach gives the opportunity to beginners of a great learning experience. Less exposed to open sea, waves generally are more gentle here. With golden sand and great views, this one is only 10 minutes from our hostel.
Luaña (Cóbreces)
This is another surfing spot we work in. It is only 10 minutes away from the hostel. This beach is less crowded so it will give you the chance to free your inner surfer and enjoy the waves.
