INTRODUCTION
Playa de Las Canteras Surf Camp was born from the passion of its founders for surfing and the sea. We are experts in the Canary Islands, its waves and surf spots and we pass on our knowledge to our students.
We are located on Gran Canaria, a natural paradise that integrates the sea, nature, culture and relaxation, all in one island. Located in the center of the city of Las Palmas, but not too far from the beaches, it is the ideal place for surfers who want to enjoy the waves and the atmosphere of the city!
We offer a variety of accommodation: Surf hostel, studio apartments, apartments with sea view or a hotel 15 minutes walk from our surf school. Our surf and yoga classes are in small groups (6 people max) allowing a personalized service. During your stay, you can enjoy a local experience in Las Palmas, tapas route on Thursday evening and concert on Saturday.
THE ACCOMMODATION
Playa de Las Canteras Surf Camp has three different accommodations that you can choose based on your personal preferences:
Surf Hostel
If you prefer a place full of young backpackers, around 20 years old, parties, barbecues, this is your option. It is located directly on the beach promenade with 2 bedrooms with ocean views.

Oceanview apartments
Located on a beautiful promenade Paseo de Las Canteras, just a few minutes from your surf school and the hostel where you can meet and socialize with new people. You will have your private area, but you can join us during all the common activities to exchange with the other guests of the camp.

THE ACTIVITIES
Playa de Las Canteras Surf Camp
- Surf
- The Tapas Tour is every Thursday night in the old town of Vegueta. It’s a good time to discover the local culture of the island.*
- On Saturday, after a good surfing session, you can enjoy an outdoor concert that takes place from 17h to midnight next to the surf spot La Cicer which is located near our Surf Hostel.*
- Excursions to the island of Gran Canaria are organized to allow you to admire the most beautiful volcanic landscapes of the city.*
- Hiking trip to El Confital, during which you can learn a lot about the promenade Paseo de Las Canteras and enjoy amazing sunsets from El Confital.
- Sightseeing and food-tasting in Vegueta – historic city center of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
- Live music in the bar next to the Surf Hostel.

Located in the center of the city of Las Palmas, but not too far from the beaches, it is the ideal place for surfers who want to enjoy the waves and the atmosphere of the city!
Surfing is an essential part of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Because it’s a geographical location, Las Palmas enjoys a privileged location for surfing, receiving swells from a radius of 270º since the peninsula of La Isleta makes it so. Given its volcanic formation, we can find all kinds of surf breakers Las Palmas: reefs, rock, sand and mixed.
