Les Diablerets Kids and Teens Summer Camp - Ormont-Dessus, Vaud. Switzerland
INTRODUCTION
This junior and teen camp for ages 8–17 combines real outdoor adventure with experiential learning, designed to build confidence, teamwork, leadership, and practical life skills—not just “keep kids busy.” The atmosphere is intentionally tech-free to encourage focus, resilience, and real friendships, while parents stay connected through staff availability, updates, and a scheduled call time. Camp is fully bilingual (English/French), with activities delivered in both languages in an international setting.
The camp is based in Les Diablerets in the Vaud region of Switzerland, an alpine village known for dramatic landscapes and summer adventure opportunities such as hiking, biking, and climbing. The setting supports a full programme of outdoor activities while keeping the group based in a consistent residential home base.
Campers can choose from 6 different programmes and Language Courses are optional:
- Adrenaline Multisports (8-13 age): team sports plus mountain activities (hiking, via ferrata, climbing, biking, water sports), camping/exploring, and optional nature/survival workshops.
- Rock Climbing (8-13 age): morning cliff climbing and skill progression (e.g., belaying/roping), plus alpine hikes and additional multisport activities.
- Mountain Biking & Cycling (8-13 age): guided rides for all levels, plus group afternoon activities and occasional special experiences like camping/bike-packing.
- Football Academy (8-13 age): coached technical/tactical training with qualified coaches, combined with mountain adventure activities.
- Survival Academy (8-13 age): practical outdoor skills (shelter, fire, navigation, water, knots) in a guided environment, with camping elements.
- Language classes are optional (8-13 age): Every evening, campers can join optional French, English or German classes.
- Teen Leadership Adventure Camp (13-17 age): Through a program blending leadership and communication skills, coaching techniques, group facilitation students will emerge not only as competent adventures, but also as competent leaders.
THE ACCOMMODATION
Campers stay in a dedicated chalet in Les Diablerets in the Vaud region of Switzerland, with shared rooms (typically 4, 6, or 8 campers per room, with younger participants usually in larger rooms). The chalet serves as a cozy and inviting home base. This traditional Swiss chalet combines rustic charm with modern amenities, ensuring comfort and relaxation after adrenaline-packed days. With spacious communal areas for group bonding and panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, the chalet fosters a sense of camaraderie.
The chalets are split by age group: children aged 8–13 stay in one chalet, and teens aged 13–17 stay in another.
Meals are healthy and homemade with a mix of Swiss and international cuisine. We gladly accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and allergy-sensitive diets – just let us know in advance.
Our staff team is the heart and soul of who we are and what we do. They are more than just instructors – they are role models, mentors, and friends to our students.
During each activity, all preventive safety measures are in place and strictly followed. At least 1 out of 2 instructors must be fully certified in CPR and First Aid. In addition, at all campsites, full-time health care specialists are responsible for the health of campers.

Daily schedules vary depending on the programme:
Junior Camps (8-13 age)
A Day Schedule
Morning: Campers take part in the morning activities for the programme they are enrolled in—Adrenaline Multisports, Rock Climbing, Mountain Bike and Cycling, Football Academy or Survival Academy. Each programme follows its own focus, so mornings are dedicated to building skills and progressing in that specific activity.
Afternoon: All Junior participants join for a common activity program: a variety of sports, games, activities (like kayak, boat building, hikes, camping, cultural visits, workshops, hands-on DIY, rafting, etc…). Normally, 3 or 4 different options are offered daily and participants can freely choose.
Evening: After dinner there is a 1-hour-long obligatory activity called TEAM CHALLENGES. All Junior participants are divided between their colored teams for a specific educational team challenge where they compete, learn, have fun and win points for their respective teams.

Adrenaline Multisports
Adrenaline Multisports Programme
The Adrenaline Multisports programme combines team sports, mountain adventures, and camping-based exploration—so campers can play, hike, climb, bike, and take part in water activities, bonfires, and outdoor challenges. Alongside the action, optional educational workshops help campers learn about local fauna and flora and develop practical outdoor survival skills such as shelter building, navigation, and foraging.
Rock Climbing
Rock Climbing Programme
The Rock Climbing programme is suitable for both beginners and experienced climbers, focusing on skill progression in a supportive setting. Each morning, campers climb on local crags and learn key techniques such as roping, belaying, and lead progression. The week also includes alpine hikes to scenic viewpoints (like glaciers and waterfalls) and a dedicated day for multi-pitch routes. Groups are split by level so everyone feels comfortable and challenged at the right pace. Beyond climbing, campers also enjoy a wider range of activities from the camp’s multisport programme.
Mountain Biking & Cycling
Mountain Biking & Cycling Programme
This Mountain Biking & Cycling programme pairs morning rides on alpine trails (with groups suited to every level) with exciting camp-wide afternoon activities off the bike. Week highlights can include a full-day mountain-pass ride, a sunset ride with panoramic views, an overnight bike-packing camp under the stars, and excursions to nearby Swiss villages and ridgelines.
Football Academy
Football Academy Programme
The Football Academy programme is ideal for all levels, with qualified coaches helping players improve key technical skills, tactical understanding, fitness, and on-pitch communication. It also builds leadership and resilience through teamwork and match-based challenges. Beyond football, afternoons add mountain adventures such as hiking, climbing, and mountain biking, so campers enjoy a varied week of sport, exploration, and personal growth in a safe, guided environment.
Survival Academy
Survival Academy Programme
The Survival Camp is a hands-on outdoor programme where children and teens learn practical survival skills in a safe, guided, age-appropriate way. Mornings combine fun adventure missions with skill sessions such as shelter building, water purification, navigation, safe tool use, fire cooking, knot tying, and creating simple equipment from natural materials. Campers usually sleep in tents near the chalet forest, adding to the authentic experience. Weekly highlights can include fire-making, shelter-building challenges, orienteering with map and compass, summit hikes, wild cooking, river-crossing tasks, a night walk, and a final survival mission.
Extra - Language Courses (Optional)

Camps are fully bilingual (French and English), with all activities and instructions delivered in both languages to create a rich, immersive environment.
On top of that, we offer optional evening language classes (French, English, or German), which can be added. Each 2-hour session is led by experienced teachers and is practical and interactive. Small class sizes provide personalised support and help campers progress quickly through real conversation practice.
Teens Camp (13-17 age)
A Day Schedule
Morning: It might start with planning the day’s challenges together: deciding routes, preparing equipment, dividing roles, or discussing the skills they want to practice. The group learns that leadership is not about being the loudest — but about listening, supporting, problem-solving, and stepping up when needed.
Afternoon: Afternoons are for action. Mountain hikes, water sports, biking, adventure circuits, and practical outdoor challenges that require teamwork and strategy. Instead of competing, participants must coordinate sharing ideas, adjusting plans, and ensuring everyone succeeds
Evening: Often include reflection circles, small group challenges, or fun leadership games designed to strengthen trust and group cohesion.

Teen Leadership Adventure Camp
Through a program blending leadership and communication skills, coaching techniques, group facilitation students will emerge not only as competent adventurers, but also as competent leaders. Throughout the program, emphasis is placed on promoting autonomy and responsibility, essential qualities for campers and aspiring leaders.

- Leadership simulations & problem-solving tasks

- Lake expedition (kayak or paddleboard)

The chalet acts as a practical home base in the Alps, close to a wide range of outdoor venues used throughout the week.
Getting Here
For International Participants: We offer organized transfers from Geneva Airport on arrival and departure days. Included in our prices (at no extra costs). Our team greets campers directly at the arrivals terminal and ensures a safe, friendly transfer to camp. You’ll receive a detailed travel schedule after registration. You can also bring your participant directly to our chalet in Les Diablerets.
For Swiss Residents: We organize transport from Lausanne Train Station where the meeting point will be or directly at Les Diablerets. You can also bring your participant directly to our chalet in Les Diablerets.
Parents can also bring the camper to the chalet in Les Diablerets in the first day of camp.
