Surf Spots
Geribá
It is exposed beach break that has consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Ideal winds are from the north northeast. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the east. Waves at the beach are mainly lefts. Best around high tide.
Praia Brava
It is a fairly exposed beach/jetty break that has reasonably consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Offshore winds blow from the northwest. Groundswells more frequent than windswells and the ideal swell direction is from the east. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights.
Laje da Rasa
It is an exposed reef break that has inconsistent surf. Winter is the optimum time of year for surfing here. The best wind direction is from the west. Groundswells more frequent than windswells and the best swell direction is from the east. There are left and right breaking reefs. Good surf at all stages of the tide. When the surf is up, it can get quite busy in the water. Submerged rocks are a hazard.
Tucuns
It is an exposed beach break that has consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. Offshore winds are from the north northeast. Most of the surf here comes from groundswells and the ideal swell direction is from the east. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights. Best around high tide.

By bus
The bus from Rio to Buzio takes around 3 hours and 30 minutes. Upon arriving, the bus terminal, Rodoviária de Buzios, is a four-minute drive or 10-minute walk to Selina.
From the airport
The closest airports are Santos Dumont Airport (SDU) or Rio de Janeiro/Galeão Airport (GIG). The travel time to Buzios is roughly 2 hours and 30 minutes by car or shuttle.
