INTRODUCTION
Ancora Beach Surf Camp is located in the North of Portugal in Vila Praia de Âncora, a small town with a nice beach, a good gastronomy and natural places to enjoy.
Our accommodation service consists of a Surf Camp (Villa) located in a nice neighborhood. It has 4 rooms with private an shared accommodations, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a large living area and an outside garden with a lot of green spaces to relax.
Our Surf services are promoted by a Surf School located in front of the beach where you can have Surf lessons based on your Surf level and also rent Surf material.
In Portugal Surf is a very common sport. The country has a very strong connection with the Ocean and the extensive coastline with beautiful beaches and nice waves promotes the sport.
The difference about North Portugal and especially about Vila Praia de Âncora is that you have the chance to enjoy good Surf conditions in a sunny and uncrowded Beach. The village is also surrounded by mountains and beautiful places to visit.

THE ACTIVITIES
SURF LESSONS
Beginner Level: You will enjoy surf lessons with FPS licensed Surf Instructors. Fábio Martins and António Macedo the owners of the Surf Camp will teach you how to read the waves and will give an introduction step-by-step to the art of surfing. You will quickly gain confidence and motivation to catch your first wave, and then you will get a feeling of the passion only a surfer knows.
The intermediate lessons help you to improve your own surf skills. You will become a better surfer improving your surf fitness, strengthen and your ocean awareness which will help you to enjoy more waves. You will be able to develop your own flow and surf style.

LOCATION & GETTING HERE
Location
- The Ancora Beach Surf Camp is located less than 5 minutes by car of our Surf School and of the Vila Praia de Âncora Beach.
- Near the Camp (3 minutes by car) you have a big supermarket with a coffee shop, a bakery, and a gas station.
- The most famous restaurants of the town are located in the main avenue and are placed in front of the beach as our Surf School.
- You can eat local fish, nice meat and delicious pizza with a nice view.
- For nightlife, you have Oceano Coffee located in front of the beach.
- If you look for a different type of bars and a club you can find it in Caminha (10kms from the Surf Camp).

By Bus:
The Camp is located 1 Km to the main bus station.
By Train:
The Camp is located 1.5 Km to the main train station.
Car:
You can use A28 Road and also the N13 (without taxes).
