INTRODUCTION
Spend your holidays discovering the underwater world of the Algarve with a fully supervised teen dive camp designed for young adventurers aged 14 to 19. Set in Sagres, this program combines accommodation, meals, scuba training, and exciting ocean experiences in one place, just minutes from the sea.
This camp is ideal for teens who want to try diving for the first time, earn an internationally recognised certification, or continue progressing through more advanced levels. With experienced instructors, a supportive group atmosphere, and a strong focus on safety, participants gain confidence while learning valuable diving skills in a unique coastal setting.
Beyond scuba diving, the experience also includes the social and personal side of camp life: shared meals, new friendships, marine conservation awareness, and extra activities such as freediving, yoga, and surf sessions. It is a complete holiday program for teens who want to disconnect from screens, connect with nature, and enjoy an unforgettable week by the ocean.
THE ACCOMMODATION
Participants stay at a shared DiveHouse in Sagres with 4-person bedrooms in a sociable and supervised environment created especially for teens. The camp includes full-board accommodation with breakfast, lunch, and dinner, allowing guests to focus fully on the diving experience and daily activities.
The program includes 24/7 supervision throughout the stay, making it a safe and supportive option for teens travelling during school breaks or summer holidays. The accommodation is designed to bring together course sessions, downtime, and group life in one convenient base close to the ocean.
This setup creates a strong sense of community from day one, with accommodation, dive training, meals, and free time all integrated into the same experience. It is a practical and comfortable base for making friends, building independence, and enjoying a week of adventure in southern Portugal.

THE ACTIVITIES
Scuba diving is the main focus of the camp, with programs available for complete beginners as well as teens who want to continue their dive education. Depending on the package chosen, participants can complete the Open Water Diver certification, combine Open Water and Advanced Open Water certifications, or add extra double dives for more time in the water. Programs include pool sessions, theory classes, final exams, and multiple open water dives, including shore and boat dives.
The camp is designed not only to teach diving techniques, but also to help teens become confident, safe, and responsible divers. Instruction is provided by experienced professionals, and the certifications are issued through SSI, giving participants a recognised starting point for future dive travel or further training.
In addition to scuba diving, guests can enjoy other activities that add variety to the week, including marine conservation learning, freediving, yoga, and surf sessions. The program also includes a celebratory BBQ at the end of the course, creating a fun and memorable finish to the camp experience.

Getting Here
By Plane
The closest Airport is Algarve’s international airport in Faro. The distance from Faro to Sagres is 113 km.
By bus/train
To get to Faro train or bus station (which are close to each other just before Faro marina) either get the bus from the airport (the stop is right outside the ‘arrivals’ doors) or get a taxi at a cost of around.
Faro to Sagres
- No direct train so you have to get a train to Lagos then get a bus to Sagres.
- Take the bus to Lagos and change bus to go to Sagres.
- By Taxi
To check train timetables visit CP – Comboios de Portugal. (the site is available in English) and select ‘Regional and Inter Regional services’ to get the timetable for Lagos/Vila Real de Santo António/Lagos.
For bus timetables visit Eva Bus. Again most of it is available in English except the ‘frequency’ on the tables. (Days of the week: Monday is the 2nd day of the week – ‘2as’-and Friday is the 6th day. ‘Sábado’ and ‘Domingo’ – Saturday and Sunday; ‘Feriados’ is holidays; ‘Diariamente’ is daily,).
