INTRODUCTION
“Heaven on earth” our Playa Venao Surf Club & Hostel is located in a white sand beach. The playground fusions with the sand of the beach, making them feel the vibration of nature. Although it is a perfect spot for surfing, Playa Venao is much more than just a surfing retreat.
Here guests can amuse themselves during the day with many outdoor activities (yoga, surf, hiking, visiting hidden beaches, whale watching, sea turtle watching, etc.) and during the night there are always activities available (pool tournaments, music events, movie nights, karaoke, eat and meet, etc.). Venao is a place to reconnect with oneself.

Surf School
Offers lessons from beginners to advanced levels, with the sole aim of offering the perfect surfing holidays in Panama. We belive we are part of the experience and therefore we want it to be memorable. You will find a different concept here. We are known for being the most authentic, we continue keeping the real surf spirit and sharing with you the unique Panamá-Playa Venao experience.
All levels
At our Surf School we teach surfers of all level. We provide surf lessons for those who want to learn how to step on to the water and surfers that want to improve having more speed and control in the green waves. Also for advance surfers who wants to go one step further in their technique and style.
Team
Professional and experienced surf teachers coach you. They will get you to that next level and help you get the most from your surfing. we use the latest and most advanced equipments to provide the best feeling ever, all the lessons include surfboard and all equipment needed.

Our Playa Venao Surf Club & Hostel, this spot catches just any swell, so it is a good bet when there is still or no surf anywhere else. It is best surfed at medium to high tide. At low tide, it tends to close out. Also, on swells over 8 to 10 feet, it tends to close out.
Major swells
April to Octuber but the clean surf season is December to April when swell from deep antic lows reach the Pacific coastline with offshore winds a common occurrence. Typically morning surfs are offshore and afternoon are light onshore, make sure you are up early to get those classic glassy sessions.

LOCATION & GETTING HERE
Location
The province of Los Santos has some of the best Panama surf spots as it is located out on the peninsula of Panama. The area contain some great river mouth points and some good quality reefs, that have enough water over them to appeal to beginner, intermediate and advanced surfers, with fantastic beach breaks such Playa Venao, Cambutal, Playa Guanico and Boca Oria wich can be great to learn to surf, panama has it all!
Health: No vaccine is required. Neverthless, think about taking a tratment against malaria if you wish to hazard in the jungle.
Currency: The local currency is a Balboa (PAB) but it is not exportable. We recommend you to have US dollar in small denominatios and change on the way there. Credit cards are not accepted everywhere.
