Our tropical studios are suited for up to 4 persons, including a kitchen, bathroom, potable hot and cold water, private terrace with hammock, 24-hour electricity, and optional air-conditioning. Our facilitiesinclude a swimming pool in the large, tropical garden, a BBQ grill, activity loft and a free high speed internet connection.
Activities
Hooked Cabarete is not only right next to the surf spot but also only a short ride from world class kite boardingand windsurfing conditions. Other activities include stand up paddling, foiling, yoga, mountain biking, canyoning, kayaking, horse back riding, snokelling, diving, fishing, zip-lining, hiking and seasonal whale watching.

THE ACTIVITIES
Our surf school partner Pauhana (about us) is located on the surf beach Encuentro, 10mins walk away. Pauhana is the largest surf school in the country and offers private lessons with highly experienced, multi-lingual instructors who will teach you all the core skills needed for safe, successful, and enjoyable surfing.
Pauhana also boasts the largest, most comprehensive quiver choices on the island for board rentals and lessons including Soft tops, Fish, Retro, SUP, Longboards, High-Performance and Foil boards.
All lessons are private 1-on-1.

LOCATION & GETTING HERE

We are located in Cabarete, Dominican Republic, is all about surf, kite and relax. It is the accommodation closest to Playa Encuentro the best surf spot in the Caribbean and only 3 miles from Kite Beach. Surfers, kiters, and also people who just love our quiet, clean and safe place come to stay at our little paradise.
Known as the Mecca for Kitesurfing, Cabarete offers great opportunities for water sports. Year by year many enthusiastic kiters and surfers from all over the world, or those who want to become one, choose Cabarete as their favorite destination for a holiday.
Perfect wind and wave conditions, crystal clear warm water, lots of sunshine and the beautiful Caribbean surroundings with its white beaches and thousands of palm trees are the best reasons to come. And besides surfing and kitesurfing, lots of other things to do and see.
Surfing! What many people don’t know is that Cabarete also offers great waves for surfing. The main Surf spot Playa Encuentro has waves all year around with the so called “winter season” from November until April as its best.
Within that time ground swells from Canada reach the Dominican north shore and create amazing waves. The reef break Encuentro is the most consistent spot with a couple of left and right breaks. Surf schools are open all year round as even the “summer season” and also the rest of the year brings nice waves nearly every day. In summer a bit smaller, but perfect for beginners and still very good for intermediate and advanced surfers.
After a day filled with windsurfing, kiteboarding and surfing, visitors to Cabarete will want to head out for the legendary nightlife.Lively nightclubs pulsing with Caribbean beats drive the nightlife scene. Not even the stubbornly two-left-footed can keep their toes from tapping when the sun goes down on Cabarete, which brims with culture and energy.
Getting Here
The closest International airport is Puerto Plata, which is 20 minutes from our camp. The taxi to the surf camp costs US$ 35. If you fly into Santiago airport, it will take about 90 minutes and the transfer costs US$ 120.
