LOCATION & GETTING HERE

Location

Located on the heavenly Raisinier beach, adjacent to the Batterie de Vallière, the complex is situated less than one kilometer away from the town. Nowadays, Môle owns one of the most important concentrations of historical monuments on Hispaniola Island (more than 30 taïnos, colonial and haitian sites).

Our little piece of paradise is located in an oasis valley on the North-West edge of Haiti, this very uncommon tropical dry region from where you can see Cuba.

Getting Here

You can arrive by plane, boat or through a road trip. With the most beautiful landscapes of the Haiti’s down North-

West specific ecosystems, through cactuses till green shelves.

By the land

Coming from the Gonaïves, you have to take the road of Anse Rouge and then Bombardopolis.

You will travel across a non-asphalted road, from where you will enjoy the most beautiful landscapes of the Haiti’s down North-West specific ecosystems, through cactuses till green shelves.

Three options from Anse Rouge (equivalent in time = 2 to 3h)

Unique Landscapes ~ rocky road & little bit tiresome

via Baie de Henne then Bombardopolis to arrive Môle

The less tiresome road ~ longer in kilometers

via Jean Rabel then Marouge and Môle

Intermediate ~ shorter in time

avoid Jean Rabel’s road and take the direct road to Mare Rouge and then to Môle. This mountain road can be muddy, but it is the shorter in time.

From Cap Haïtien you have two choice :

Through Gonaïves ~ total 8h

Through Le Borgne and Port de Paix ~ 8-9h

In Limbé turn on your right to Port Margot go forward to le Borgne, Anse à Foleur, Saint Louis du Nord then Port de

Paix on a mountain road with beautiful landscape (very difficult road after and during heavy rain, muddy, strong slope and fording, 4WD required). Expect 2h30 to pass Jean Rabel then Marouge and arrive in Môle.

Whatever your choice, it is better to leave Port-au-Prince or Cap Haïtien early with a good vehicle, in order to make the 7 to 9 hours drive serenely and enjoy a good swim in the sea under the sunset when you arrive…

By the sea

Haiti Kitesurf Bungalows is in Mole Saint Nicolas’ bay. Sailors will find here a real marine haven, one of the safest in Haiti.

A lot of projects speculate on the devlopment of the peninsula which protects the entrance of the bay. The vessels will moore without difficulty on available buoys.

First needs supplies are available on location.

Time of buccaneers is out. Be quiet, Mole marine authorities eradicated modern piracy!!

Customs formalities are simple:

Travelers will have to pay a daily fee to use the mooring. This participating fee enters in the budget that the town council mobilizes to make community projects turn a reality. All customs formalities to enter in Haiti can be done in Mole Saint Nicolas directly with the police or the town council authorities.

By the air

Your feet in the sea just one hour away from Port-au-Prince.

Charter flights able to take from 2 to 15 persons serving directly Môle St Nicolas’ aircraft. Try to fill the selected plane in order to find the cheepest round-trip price that should be around $300 USD/person.
