INTRODUCTION
Handy Luxury Surf Charter fleet is a massive boat that will provide you a unique experience in the southern Maldives Atoll. Very comfortable accommodation with the most experienced guides in the country that will guide you to the best spot of the day according to the swell and weather conditions.
Our 118-foot (36-meter) liveaboard was custom-designed and locally built of fine tropical timber to chase the waves in style. Every morning wake up in a comfortable, spacious cabin with AC and ensuite bathroom to enjoy new waves and uncrowded spots. For more comfort and space our boat has a large lounges saloon with comfortable seating, bar for your sunset cocktail and three sundecks for the tan lovers.
After a big day of surfing, our onboard kitchen team will prepare three tasty meals a day with snacks whenever you’re hungry. In your free of surfing time you can enjoy fishing, jet ski or diving. If you desire to relax your muscles after a long day of surfing, you can pre-book a masseuse.

Guests can choose from double, twin or triple cabins on the upper or lower decks. All of the boat’s cabins are fully air-conditioned and have private en-suite bathrooms with hot & cold showers. The upper-deck cabins all have double beds and include one suite. In the lower deck, there is a mixture of twins and doubles.

Meals
A mixture of Maldivian, Sri Lankan and western dishes all-you-can-eat.
For Breakfast, tea, coffee, fruit, juice, toast, cereals and eggs and/or pancakes are provided.
Lunch & dinner is a banquet of five different dishes with daily variations including fresh fish & tuna dishes, curries, rice and pasta dishes, vegetables and salads. Meat dishes are provided but usually we try to provide fresh food from the local environment. Evening meals are followed by dessert and lunch is followed by a fruit dish. Tea and coffee is served after all meals. A bunch of bananas ripen on deck and you can eat these as you wish.
Water is also free and you will be given your own water bottle on arrival which you can put your name on and refill as you wish. This helps save the local environment from the pollution of using plastic bottles.
The chefs are also willing to adjust the menu to suit individual needs if required. You can advise us after you book if you have any allergies and we can advise the chef before your trip.

Surf Guide
One of the most important parts of any surf charter is ya surf guide. Our full-time surf guide with over 18 years of experience in guiding is trained by ISA (International Surf Association) as a Surf instructor and SGA (Surf Guide Association) in safety, rescue, first aid and hospitality.
Southern / Outer Atolls
The Gaafu Dhaalu area offers a versatile options on uncrowded and most diverse surf spots.You will find everything from mellow longboard waves to the hollow barrels. To almost every island on the outside has one or two breaks.
Depending on the wind direction, our experienced surf guide will find spots for you that are working best at the time. Most days, you will surf up to 6 hours, or even longer, if you can handle it! After some of the best surf of your life, you will be dropped off at the Gaafu Dhaalu airport and flown back to Male.

LOCATION & GETTING HERE
Location
Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll (or Huvadhoo Atoll) offers the best conditions of the Maldives. It works best in March, April, and September to November. But it picks up more swell than any other Atoll in the Maldives, and from every direction, all season long.
Meemu, Dhaalu, Thaa and Laamu Atolls offer spots exposed to all directions and have something for all levels.

Once you have landed in Male you will be picked up by your hosts and can simply relax and fall into surf adventure mode!
NOTE
- VISA: A 30 days visa is giving upon arrival at the airport, you will need a valid passport ( at least 6 months before expiring date), return ticket, reservation of the accommodation and Yellow fever certification card. According to your country, you may need to show an international vaccination card.
- OVERNIGHT ACCOMMODATION: If your flight arrives late afternoon/early evening you can overnight in Male/Hulhumale.
- DOMESTIC FLIGHTS: Please note that the maximum size of surfboards allowed on Maldives domestic flights to Central and Southern Atolls is 8 ft including the board bag. For Central/Southern atoll trips arrive the night before so can catch an early domestic flight. Return trip departs central/southern atolls midday/early afternoon – only book your international departure for mid-evening onwards to allow for a schedule change in domestic flight which happens fairly often.

- Shoes: One sandal will be more than enough
- Due the muslim culture, it is only permited to wear bikinis only in a restricted part of the beach, so bring your beach outlet.
- Is not allowed any nude bath.
- For night time, it is better to not wear too short or tight clothes and cover the shoulders shirt specially for women,it is a good show of respect
- The local island is not allowed any alcohol.

- Surfboard Rental –Very wide range of quiver to rent from a Awayco range, please talk to us about how to organize the board pick-up for your surf charter holiday.
- Local Photography service – US$50 for 10 photos of your choice. US$100 for full suite of photos. Camera used is a Canon 70D SLR and photos will be taken from land, boat or tender.
- Alcohol is available for purchase on board. If you have any special requests, please let us know well in advance and we will do our best to organise your favourite brand. For reference, 1 beer usually costs US$5 per can.
- Snacks – There are a range of snacks available such as Chocolate bars on board to purchase.
- Jetski – On Request (must be booked prior to the trip).
- A masseuse – Exclusive Price: $200 (4 hours per day) or $300 (5 hours per day). Must be booked prior to the trip.
- Internet Access – Our charters have Wi-Fi hotspots onboard for basic website browsing, emails, messages and Wi-Fi calling. But if you are after more download bandwidth for streaming services etc., the cheapest option is to just grab a SIM from one of the local providers which can be purchased at the airport once you have cleared customs, or at a local village during your trip. You can also add the global roaming option to your current plan but make sure you’re aware of the costs involved with your provider.
