INTRODUCTION
Located in a dream setting in Saint Francois (Grande Terre), Guadeloupe Surf and Stand up Paddle school is one of the best surfing and paddle boarding schools on the Guadeloupe Island.
Our state–certified instructor is happy to welcome you and take you on a surf trips around the island all year round. Depending on your skill level, weather conditions and wave conditions, and will give the best effort so you can learn as much and quickly as possible and as safe as possible.
If you don´t surf or want to take a break from surfing, you can explore the mangrove on a SUP. Accessible for all, Paddle boarding is a fun and ecological way to discover the mangrove (protected site, nature reserve). Expect to experience a total change of scenery.
The school provides bungalows for two or four people. Completely new and fully equipped.
The bungalows are ideally located 5 minutes from the beach and the center of Saint-François, in a very quiet residential area 200 m from the sea and 20-30 minutes walking from the center of St. Francois. From the bungalows, you will be able to go to the beach by foot.
THE ACCOMMODATION
The school provides bungalows for two or four people. Completely new and fully equipped.
The bungalows are ideally located 5 minutes from the beach and 20 minutes walking from the center of Saint-François, in a very quiet residential area 200 m from the sea. From the bungalows, you will be able to go to the beach by foot. There are plenty surf spots situated close to our bungalows.
BUNGALOW FOR 2 PERSON
The bungalow for 2 people of around 25m² is completely new and comfortably equipped:
- An air conditioned bedroom – TV – Internet (WiFi access)
- Indoor bathroom (shower, sink)
- An outdoor kitchen on a covered terrace, equipped with (microwave, electric oven, hotplates, fridge)
- Free Parking
- Air cooler
- Double bed
- Linen provided (sheets, towels)
BUNGALOW FOR 4 PERSON
The bungalow for 4 people of approximately 50 m² completely new is equipped with all modern appliances and comfort. It can be rented in full (2 bedrooms) for a family of 4 people or for 2 people with a choice:
- An air-conditioned bedroom with a 140 cm bed with an independent bathroom with shower, toilet, sink.
- An air-conditioned bedroom with 2 single beds with an independent bathroom with shower, toilet, sink.
Whether you are 2 people or 4 people you will enjoy the following comfort:

THE ACTIVITIES
SURF CONDITIONS:
Located in a dream setting in Saint Francois (Grande Terre) in Guadeloupe is an island group in the southern Caribbean Sea. Most consistent surf destinations with regular tradewinds swell and north swell. The rain season is from June to December and the main wind is E-NE all the year which allows you to surf all the year round. The west island, Basse Terre is breaking during the cyclone season with S-SE swells. The east island, Grande Terre gets the Atlantic swells. The best season is the winter with an average of 4 to 6′, sometimes 10′.

Surfing
Lessons in group of 4 to 5 people maximum or individually (8 people / instructor authorized).
No overcrowded groups therefore quality education.
Course duration is 2h to 2h30 (instead of 1h30 generally practiced) plus travel equivalent to half day total, morning or afternoon.
A large choice of boards (beginner or expert).
Possibility of changing spots according to the waves and the level of the participants.
TAXI SURF (SURF GUIDE)
For experienced surfers we offer a “surf guide” formula which will take you every day to the best spots on the island.
Paddle Boarding
Accessible for all, Paddle boarding is a fun and ecological way to discover the mangrove (protected site, natural reserve). A total change of scenery in an unusual setting. The pleasure of sliding on a SUP is mixed with enjoying the natural surroundings.
For children as for adults:
– Brief briefing on the technique and the handling of the boards on the water.
– Beginning of the ride lasting approximately 1h30 to 2h.
– A very fun and extremely exotic ride.
– Return to the beach with cold drinks
– Total duration approximately 2 hours 30 minutes

LOCATION & GETTING HERE
Location
Part of the West Indies, this Caribbean island often called the ‘Butterfly Island’ due to its unique shape is a French Overseas Territory. La Guadeloupe is formed by two main islands of Grande-Terre to the east and Basse-Terre to the west, that offer a big natural diversity. Basse-Terre situated in the Caribbean, covered by rainforest, extensive mangrove swamps and an active volcano rising to 4,813 feet above the sea level. Grande-Terre on the Atlantic, is generally low-lying limestone formation and dry, here you find the majority of the surf spots.
CLIMATE
The tropical climate is created by the northeast trade winds. The temperature on the coast varies between 25 and 28 °C. In the mountains the temperature may drop to 16 °C. Guadeloupe has two main seasons—the dry season (December to April), and the rainy season (July to September–October).
VISA
The citizens of the European Union along with nationals of Andorra, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, San Marino, and Switzerland are allowed to travel to Guadeloupe and stay as long as they want, visa-free.
Citizens of U.S, Canada, Australia and other 49 countries can enter to Guadeloupe visa free and reside in Guadeloupe for the period up to 30 days.
