THE ACTIVITIES
Surf
Whether you prefer to go left or right, you’ll be happy to learn that we’ve got two of Indonesia’s funnest waves within close proximity. Walk (5 mins) to Yoyos or ride (5 mins) to Tropicals and you’ll experience some of the most consistent setups in the world. If you’re ever to be guaranteed waves, this would have to be that place. West Sumbawa caters to surfers of all abilities: beginner, intermediate and advanced.
Our surf shop stocks a range of surfboards from Serpent Sleds including both thrusters and twin fins and a range of hardware from Palm Bay including fins, tail pads and leg ropes. Sex Wax also available for purchase. Our Outdoor Cinema is positioned as a back drop to our pool. As the sun sets and light fades, sit back, relax and unwind in or out of the pool as we play new and old surf, skate and snow films along with a diverse selection of movies of varying genres.
Yoyos: Fun “down the line” right handers which offer both rippable rides aswell as barrels.
Super suck: Shallow and fast but on its day it can grant you the longest barrel of your life, needs big swell.
Scar reef: Breaks best with swells over six foot. This long powerful wave with fast take off and adrenalin from start to finish.
Little Bingin: Fun wave right next to Scar Reef, breaks left and right.
Yoga
We offer free Yoga to all guests, others are 150K for a drop-in. Our Yoga shala provides a peaceful and tranquil space for your Yoga and meditation practice. Mats and props provided for your convenience. We also offer 5 (buy 4 get 1 FREE) and 10 (buy 7 and get 3 FREE) class passes. Classes are from Monday to Saturday, no Yoga on Sunday.
Swim
Home to various species of sea life, Lawar Bay, less than five minutes drive provides some of the islands best swimming, snorkeling and diving. Take a guide with you, otherwise explore the island at your own leisure.
Hike
The island of Sumbawa is the perfect place for hiking. Spend the morning or afternoon exploring the coastline or breathtaking lighthouse views, the hinterland or rejuvenating waterfall swims. Go alone or with a guide.
Kite
If the trade winds are up in the afternoons, why not try your hand at Kite Boarding. Get one of the most stunning perspectives of the land from the sea. Let our staff know a few days in advance and we will organise your kiteboarding experience.
Fish
if you’re a seasoned fisherman or just enjoy being out on the boat, let us organise a charter for you with our trusted local fishermen. Half day and full day tours available. Let us know a day or two in advance so we can tailor a package for you and your crew.
Golf
Ever imagined teeing off in a tropical paradise? Now you can experience the delight of playing on an immaculate 9-hole golf course during your island holiday. The course is located nearby the resort, please enquire with the staff for more information or can pre book online.
Dive
Our local guide knows the waters around the area extremely well, diving these waters for the past 20 years. We’ll organise all of your spear fishing needs, be it a half or full day experience. Upon your return our chefs will transform your catch for you into a delicious meal.
