Surfing in Wellington

Wellington is the capital of New Zealand and is located on the south coast of the northern island of the country. This may not be the best surfing area of the country but there are still some places where good waves can be found. There are good quality surf spots located around the airport area and some fun waves on the west facing coast of Kapiti.
