Surfing in Dunedin

Dunedin is located on the southeast coast of the southern island of New Zealand. The surf conditions can be challenging and the cold water is definitely an issue but there are some killer surf spots in this area that are worth visiting. With consistent swells that can produce massive waves the local surfers of Dunedin are known to be charges and an annual big wave contest is held there in memory of Rex Von Huber, a legendary local big rider of Dunedin.
