Surfing in Brittany

Brittany is a peninsula located in France's northwesternmost region. The 1,500km coastline of Brittany is wild and rugged with many beautiful beaches and sheltered coves where you can find many surf spots. With a wide swell window that attracts a lot of swell from the Atlantic Ocean, this area has consistent waves but finding the best surf spot of the day can be tricky. The best thing to do is to seek local knowledge since the jagged coastline, tides of up to 14m, swirling currents and offshore islands can allow many possibilities that without some native help you will never be surfing in the prime spot of the day. The good news is that whatever the forecast is you will never have to drive very far to find a wave.
