Supertubos (Peniche)

Supertubos, as the name says, is a high quality beach break considered as one of the best surf spots in Portugal. The waves are super heavy with long barrels that can either be wide open or shut-down in a heavy close out. The lefts are more makeable, but there are also lots of right handers breaking off the main peak. NW swells favor the rights but the best conditions happen with solid SW swells, NE winds and mid-tide. The quality of the wave attracts lots of tube riders and bodyboarders.
