Surf and SUP School

Pioneer in the Principality of Asturias, the surf school offers classes for all levels of surf. Lessons are given by qualified instructors with an official diploma of the Asturian Surf Federation.

The lessons usually take place in the morning, followed by a picnic at the beach. After lunch and some rest the students mostly jump in the water a free surf session or simply chill and play at the beach. All the neccessary surf and SUP equipment is provided for the entire stay.

The full board plan includes a copious breakfast before the surf session, a picnic on the beach at lunch time and a good dinner in a typical restaurant serving Asturian specialities. Breakfast only packages are also available.

Surf Breaks

The advanced surfers will definitely appreciate a regional classic of international fame, Rodiles is a hollow rivermouth lefthander break, which if often​ ​referred as the “Little Mundaka”. Works best  two hours before of after the low tide. Needs a moderate swell to get going, usually best in winter. 

Beginer and intermediate surfers will have fun at Rodiles beach break. The beach is a part of a nature preserve, so the water is always clean.

Shaping Workshop

The Shaping work shop provides an exciting opportunity to make your own surfboard from scratch to finish. The founder of the school, who is also a well known shaper will pass to you all the necessary knowledge.  All the steps, from shaping to glassing, sanding, etc will be carefully supervised.

The one week shaping course includes:

• Intensive shaping, glassing and sanding course (minimum 40 h)
• a new self shaped surfboard
• 7 night accommodation
• 7 days breakfast or full pension
• 7 days of basic surf equipment
• Daily transport to the beach
• Visit the surf factory

Outdoor Adventures

The area of Asturias offers many different adventure sports. Outdoor activities for those who are seeking breath-taking views and fresh mountain air, the are only one hour drive from the surf camp. After morning surf you can spend your afternoon doing some other outdoor activities like:

• Horseback riding in the hills,
• Canoeing in the river mouth,
• Rock climbing and hiking

Sightseeing

The area is reputed for its dairy products and its apple trees producing the famous cider, so you can visit one of the factories. Furthermore, the famous Jurassic museum is very much worth visiting.

Also, the city of Gijon is just 20min drive from the camp, is a beautiful ocean based city with many museums, shops and a beautiful old town with many good restaurants and bars.
