The El Palmar Surfcamp is situated in the heart of the surfing Mecca of Andalusia where you will find excellent local food, new friends, fun, relax and the best waves of Costa de la Luz !
We offer private, double, and shared rooms at the surfcampโa modern spot with basic comforts like free Wi-Fi, a family atmosphere, and the true surf lifestyle of southern Spain.
The surf camp is just 3 minutes’ walk from El Palmar’s beautiful sandy beach, the ideal place for a surf course in Cadiz.
Relax your body and mind with yoga after each surf session.
Food matters as much as the waves. All our meals include a variety of vegan and vegetarian options, made with fresh, local products from the land and sea.

The surf house offers accommodation in a relaxed and familiar atmosphere with all the necessary comforts to enjoy your surfing holiday in Andalusia with 11 rooms, one big garden (6500mq), chill out zone with deckchairs, bar, restaurant and barbecue area.

THE ACTIVITIES
Learn to surf in Andalusia at El Palmar surfcamp! The camp offer surf courses suitable for every level of surfing and age..
With a maximum of 6 students per instructor we provide all the materials needed (Surfboard, wetsuit, leash and wax) for a minimum of 2 hours surf lesson in El Palmar beach or at the best surf spots around Cadiz.
The instructors in possess of national and international Surf Teacher Federation license and life guarding qualification will give you the best advices to pump your progress with a step-by-step surfing teaching method combining theory and practice with stretching exercises, waves and a lot of fun!!
Daily surf lessons at El Palmar / Cadiz beach and rental of surfboards and wetsuit after every lesson!
The surf course includes :
- All levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced).
- 2 hours of surf course at the 7 kms sandy beach of El Palmar.
- Theory and practice at the beach.
- Surf materials (wetsuit, surfboard, leash).
- 6 students maximum per instructor.
- All equipments available after lessons.
For intermediate and advanced surfers we suggest the surf spots of Yerbabuena, Caรฑos de Mecca, Roche, Conil, Tres piedras and many more. The surf crew will bring you surfing to the best beach according to your level and wave conditions.

At the heart of the Costa de la Luz, lies El Palmar within a short distance of the ancient Andalusian towns of Vejer, Tarifa, Cadiz, and Jerez.
El Palmar is considered by many the Mecca of surfing in Andalusia, the South of Spain. A magic place for surfing on the southern side of Salado river who split the valley in two : on the northern side Conil only 8 kms far away and on the southern one, El Palmar a lively seaside resort with many bars, restaurants and surf shops, touristic attraction of many surfers especially on late summer season.
Besides the surf, El Palmar has a lot to offer and you can do any kind of activities with us. SUP, longskate, skateboarding, cycling, hiking, … and its exciting summer night life with parties and Dj set at the beach!
Costa de la Luz
The close proximity of Morocco across the straits of Gibraltar provides impressive views of the North African shoreline on clear days. With several protected pine forests, construction kept down to a minimum and the area sparsely populated, the coast is incredibly tranquil and beaches uncrowded and immaculate.
The capital Cadiz is arguably the oldest town in Europe, founded in 1200 BC by the Phoenician on a narrow isthmus surrounded by ancient walls. Inland, the town of Jerez is reputed worldwide for its Sherry wine, its famed Andalusian School of Equestrian Art and its race track, annual venue of the Moto Grand Prix.

Getting Here
The surfcamp is only 350 mt from El Palmar surfing beach, 8 kms south of Conil, 50km from Cadiz, 65 kms from Tarifa. We will pick you up at local bus station in Conil for free or at Jerez airport with a private transfer. ย

From Malaga : follow the A-357 / MA-20 direction Algeciras- Cadiz and take the highway E-15 /A-7 direction Jerez A-381 (exit n110B). Take the A-2226 Benalup-Casa Viejas, follow A-2228 and than exit N-340/A-2232 direction Caรฑos de Meca/Conil. ย
