Ebay Beach Front Surf Camp, surrounded with palm trees on the desert Island of Nyang Nyang, offers our guests a remarkably strategic location where they can experience the surf trip of a lifetime. Wake up and check the world class waves of Ebay, the best left-hander right in front of you.
Experience the wildlife without missing the things that make your stay comfortable — in a peaceful, relaxing, and suggestive scenery; with more than 20 waves within a range of maximum 30 minutes by boat.
You can socialize with the other surfers who are spending their holidays on the island and with the local people while admiring the great sunset of Mentawai — with a cold beer in their hand at Ebay Beach Front Surf Camp.

Meals
3 healthy and delicious meals per day, prepared for hungry surfers. A mixture of Western and Indonesian cuisine, Italian Chef bringing
traditional Italian gastronomy, to most of the dishes with local flavors, you will have the best of both worlds. A highlight for the homemade delicious pizza.
Real Fresh and tasty fish is also on the menu, the fish of the day is to be cooked in the oven or BBQ, thanks to ability and luck of local fishermen.
THE ACTIVITIES
Surfing
Great waves for all levels, but you must be confident as we have only reef breaks around the area. If you do not know how to surf yet, we suggest you do it before you come at a sandy bottom beach. Boat for surfing twice per day included in our package.
Surf Spots – accessible by walking :
- Ebay – lefthander – just in front of the house
- Pitstop – righthander – 5 minutes far
- Beng Bengs – lefthander – 15 minutes far
- Nipussi and Bankvaults – both right-handers – 45 minutes far
Best Season
March, April, October, and November: not crowded and easier surfing: smaller but consistent waves
May to September: stronger waves: play-it-rough season
April to October: strong swells from South Africa and Antartica reach our coral reefs carrying amazing waves that roll into clean and perfect barrels

Our beachfront location is situated right in front of a world class wave named Ebay.
The Mentawai Islands is 160 km off West Sumatra, Indonesia.

Getting Here
Book any flight to Padang Airport.
Airport transfers included in our package – Padang Airport to the Port.
From Padang Port ride a ferry to Mentawai (included in the package, but the cost for loading stuff on board will be at your own charge).

WHAT TO BRING
- Surfboards
- Wax. For a 9/10 days trip, 2-3 packs should be enough
- 2 leashes at least, but with 3 you will be safer
- Towels
- Waterproof sunscreen
- A wetsuit is not necessary however it could be useful to have something to protect your shoulders from the sun
- Mosquito repellent
- Fishing and spearfishing equipment if you want to use your own
- Raincoat could be useful on the rainy days
- Snacks – We provide food but if you have something you cannot live without, bring it along
- Original passport and a photocopy of your passport
- Cash for additional costs like beers cokes and photos.
- Finally any books, cards or anything you may want for your relaxing time.

Mentawai Surf Tax
- 1,000,000 IDR (approx. 70 USD) with 15-days validity. You can pay the tax upon arrival in Padang and you will receive a bracelet as proof of the payment.
