Mundaka

Mundaka is considered as one of the best left handers in the world. The waves break at a river mouth that forms a long sand bar that only works with large NW swells. Long, fast and perfect lefts peel down for 100-200m with multiple barrel sections and a few turns are possible as well. Take off can be super steep and tricky since a strong rip constantly pulls you away from the peak. The best conditions happen with low to mid tide and during autumn when S-SW winds are common. This surf spot is located right next to a picturesque village that has been considered as a heritage site by UNESCO.
