INTRODUCTION
Mauritius Eco Tented Glamping Adventures Camp is located in the small village of Deux Freres on the east coast of Mauritius, one of the least developed parts of the island, only 30 minutes from one of the most beautiful beaches of Mauritius, Ile aux Cerfs.
During your stay with us, you will be able to choose between our river or mountain experiences, two different concepts:
River Experience
The 12 tents are ideally located halfway between the stunning Grand River South East waterfall and the 25 kilometers’ crystal lagoon stretching from Blue Bay all the way to Trou d’Eau Douce. On this part of the east coast, there is no luxury, it is a place where modernity has not yet disturbed the simplicity and authenticity. Community members all know each other. Many of them still live from fishing and planting. Following the pace and rhythm of the Grand River South East, life goes by slowly. Mangroves protect the river banks and the coastline and are home to a rich diversity of small fish, crabs, and shellfish. The accommodation is established in this picturesque landscape.
Mountain experience
This unique place is based at the foot of Bambous Mountain, in the middle of Bambous Virieux valley, one of the last preserved valley of the island, barely 3 kilometers away from the ocean. The spirit of the place is sharing, simplicity, liberty, and conviviality. There are very few staffs on site.
Guests are welcomed to help in the preparation of the meals and in gardening activities. Lots of organic vegetables and herbs are grown on site. In the valley where this accommodation is located, there is no phone connection, no internet, and no Wi-Fi. Technological detox is one of the highlights of the place. The accommodation is already water and energy self-sufficient. The goal is to be able to feed the guests with Eco Tent’s own organic plantations. There are a natural pool and yoga deck on site. There are also bees and chickens.

THE ACTIVITIES
Kitesurfing
the kite spot Joyride, located at only 10 minutes by boat from Otentic, is one of the best flat spots of Mauritius. This camp is also located at the center of beautiful downwind and has many other activities to propose.

LOCATION & GETTING HERE
Location
Two of the most beautiful beaches of Mauritius, Ile aux Cerfs and Ilot Mangenie, are only 30 minutes boat trip away. Every morning you will have a free shuttle boat that will bring you there at 09:30.
Getting Here
No matter if you choose our river or mountain experience your check-in will be done at our river lodge in Deux Freres. From there we will drive you to our mountain experience in our 4 X 4. The mountain lodge can hardly be reached using a normal car.
PRICES & PACKAGES
The tents are equipped with a double bed and two or three single beds as well as a bathroom and private toilets. They can accommodate a family of 2 adults and 3 children or up to 4 adults.
One night is not enough to get to the rhythm of Mauritius. It is for this reason that we have degressive rates. We recommend a minimum of 3 nights to fully enjoy the lifestyle.
