INTRODUCTION
Lisbon Kitesurf, SUP and Surf House is the perfect balance between the excitement of the city and the tranquility and fun of the beach. The paradise full of priceless experiences: surf, kitesurf, SUP, bodyboard, nature walks every single day and so so much more. We are located 10 minutes walk from the white sandy beaches and 15 minutes by car from Europe’s most beautiful city, Lisbon!
We also provide exciting moments, where the sunset fades into the aromas of a barbecue which then leads to Bairro Alto, Lisbon’s most famous night life. On top of everything, we have the beach, the waves, the weather, the food which will absorb you from your fast-paced routine.

The hostel can accommodate 25 guests, so you will meet people from all over the world and share unforgettable memories.

THE ACTIVITIES
Kite Surf School
Our school has the main purpose to provide knowledge and abilities to practice this exciting sport that is kitesurfing, by using teaching methods and IKO safety, without a starting investment in equipment.
The courses duration is approximately 10 hours, with a validity period of 6 months, there is no need for daily attendance, it will depend on weather conditions and trainees’ schedule.
Trainees will be accompanied and assisted after the ending of the course.
All instructors are IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) Certified.
Learn kitesurfing with us in Costa da Caparica, Albufeira Lagoon or at the T or in Tagus River, and in all three locations we have fix facilities to receive you and present you with the best kite experience available. All our equipment is from the brand rrd and it’s latest models. Our students use a full set of equipment without sharing equipment on a maximum ratio of 1:3 to teacher.
Levels
Level 1
Initiation (3 hours) Group lesson or Private lessons
– Introduction to Kitesurf;
– How to set up the Kite and lines;
– Safety rules on the beach and on the water and all safety mechanisms;
– Control of the kite and understanding of the wind window;
– First rules of right of way and understanding the wind behavior;
– Full control of landing and relaunch of the kite.
– IKO certify with the established trainee’s level.
Level 2
Intermedium (3 hours) Group lessons or Private lessons
– First contact with the water and the body drag technics.
– Fell the traction of the kite while floating on top of the water going downwind and being able to control the kite with onlyone hand on the bar while maintaining full control of the body position;
– Full control of the kite water relaunch in all possible ways;
– Downwind bodydrag;
– Body drag both ways (right and left);
– Self rescue on the water;
– Body drag to recover a lost board and being able to return to the beach in control of the kite and board;
– Understanding the de-power system and how to trim it;
– Rules of right of way on the water and safety rules.
– IKO certify with the established trainee’s level.
Level 3
Independent (3 hours) Group lessons or Private
– First contact with the water start thecnics ;
– Control the kite while positioning the board and body to water start;
– First attempts on standing up with full control of the kite position on the wind window;
– Rules of right of way while riding;
– First meters on the water riding in both directions;
– Understanding the conditions and the right equipment for you level;
– IKO certify with the established trainee’s level.
Level 4
Advance (4 hours Group or Private)
– Initiation to riding technics and full control of body position while being able to control riding speed;
– Improve on your body posture and improve your upwind and downwind skills;
– First attempts on turning without stoping;
– First attempts at jumping (depends on evolution:.
– IKO certify with the established trainee’s level.
Inclusions
– All the required equipment (Kite, Bar, Harness, Wetsuit, Helmet, Impact Vest, Radio)
– Photos and Videos from the lessons,
– IKO card at the end,
– All the insurances required by the Portugal Turism Office and the RNAT certification,
– After your lessons we will be available for any question and doubts you might have,

Surf
Surf Initiation
In this first lesson of initiation we will have a first contact with Surf with fun sessions with the purpose of fomenting interest and liking for the activity.
Class of initiation:
– Familiarization with the material Adaptation to the aquatic environment;
– Knowledge of safety rules Take off Base position;
– Catching waves without the coach’s help.
Relation: 1 Coach Certified for every 5 students
Surf Progression
– Cut like waves in the foam to both sides;
– This class is intended for surfers who already know how to cut a wave and start a process of learning maneuvers.
Objectives:
– Improve position and surf database;
– Improve sea reading and positioning within water;
– Improve or perfect turner top, botom turn and cut back

We are located 15km from Lisbon Center, in the south side of the City, at the most beautiful lisbon Beach, Praia de São João da Caparica. We have a Coffe and a Restaurant near the hostel, São João Beach (10 min walk), Miradouro dos Capuchos (10 min by car), Cristo Rei (10 min drive), Supermarket (10min walk), Tenis Court(10 min walk), Golf (20 min drive), Natural Park Arrábida (40 min drive).
Getting Here
The best option is to fly to Lisbon International Airport, from the airport rental car is a great option to explore the area, public transport also available, taxis and Uber.
