The camp sits right on Lagide Beach on the Baleal peninsula, with direct access to the sand.

A large sun terrace and stunning ocean views make this one of the most ideal surf camp settings in Portugal.
THE ACCOMMODATION
The constantly breaking waves and the peninsula located far in the ocean provide the best exercises for surfers of every level of performance. Our surfcamp is just 50m away from that breaks with a perfect view along the coastal side.
There are a few options for accommodation at the Surfcamp: the cozy double apartment with a balcony and beautiful views of the ocean, the coast and of course the waves in the morning. The other options are our rooms to fit 4 or 8 people, which also offer a beautiful view and are a great place to meet new people and share experiences.
The rooms are equipped with single, double and bunk beds, modern furniture, bathroom, kitchen, Free WiFi AND daily cleaning of the bathrooms.
When you get up in the morning, a freshly prepared breakfast is already waiting for you. After an adventurous day on the water, we‘ll serve a delicious dinner.
You‘ll start your day with a balanced breakfast, which offers everything you can think of. There is bread and buns from the local bakery, as well as jam, chocolate cream, sausages and cheese. Fresh fruits and vegetables, cereal and yoghurt will help you to get ready for your day on the water.

The apartment features a bedroom with a double bed, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The kitchen is small but perfectly formed and fully equipped, and the table provides a comfortable space for eating, reading, playing games, and even working if needed. You’ll find a toaster, kettle, double cooktop, and all imaginable kitchen utensils. The refrigerator is spacious and includes a small freezer compartment. The bathroom has a shower.
We place great importance on cleanliness. The Lagide Beach Surf Camp Surf received the ‘Clean&Safe’ certificate from the Portuguese Tourism Board in March 2020. Our accommodations are disinfected after each guest’s departure, and everything is cleaned with alcohol-based cleaning agents. Pillows and blankets have hygienic protective covers and regular covers – both of which are washed with antibacterial and anti-allergenic detergents. We do the same with the sheets and mattress protectors. The mattresses themselves are also professionally cleaned before and after each guest change, as are the pillows and blankets. All items are changed and freshly laundered before each guest’s departure.
The bathrooms in all apartments are cleaned once a day.

Our 4-person apartment has two bedrooms, each accommodating a maximum of two people, a spacious living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The living room is bright and airy, offering plenty of space for relaxed game nights and shared meals. You can also unwind on the sofa after surfing, listen to music, or watch a movie. The kitchen is small but well-equipped. The kitchen window lets in plenty of light, making even washing up enjoyable. You’ll find a toaster, kettle, double cooktop, and all the necessary kitchen utensils. The refrigerator is spacious and includes a small freezer compartment. The bathroom has a shower.
The bedrooms are each furnished with two single beds. Our comfortable mattresses ensure a restful sleep. We place great importance on cleanliness and received the ‘Clean&Safe’ certificate from the Portuguese Tourism Board in 2020. Our mattresses, blankets, and pillows are cleaned weekly. In addition to the regular covers, the pillows and mattresses also have hygienic protective covers, and all linens are washed with anti-allergenic and antibacterial detergents before and after each guest departure. Everything is freshly laundered and provided upon arrival.
The bathrooms in all apartments are cleaned daily by a service staff member.

As a consequence of the pandemic, we want to ensure our guests feel safe and will therefore be reducing the occupancy of all multi-bed rooms to a maximum of 2 guests this season. The 8-person apartment is currently only available for a maximum of 4 guests, not 8. However, groups traveling together are welcome to book the apartment with more guests – simply send us an email and we’ll take care of everything else!

THE ACTIVITIES
SURF
All our instructors are licensed and experienced; they have completed their training at the DWV and/or the Portuguese Surf federation. Every one of our instructors has gone through a sound education, which you‘ll notice in every aspect of their teachings.
Our team will be there at all times to answer your questions – no matter what‘s on your mind. We‘re always happy to help and share experiences with you, because our guiding principle is “Surfing with friends”!
Our surf offers cover every level of performance: the guides will take excellent care of you!
4 Days Surf Course
You can join a 4-day course (= 12 hours = 6 sessions/up to 5 students), individual sessions (= 2 hours = 1 session/up to 5 students) or private lessons (= 2 hours = 1 session/1 student).
The 4-day course consists of theory and practice and the equipment (= surfboard&wetsuit) is provided to you during the course.
We teach right on our doorstep, which saves us time, since we don’t have to drive and, above all, we don’t need to carry the equipment for long distance. Our courses have a maximum of 5 students per surf instructor. This guarantees the same high quality across all courses. If, unexpectedly, there are fewer than 5 students in the 4-day course or group lessons (= individual sessions), the course time will be adjusted accordingly. The net time for student/instructor should not exceed 30-35 minutes, otherwise the learning curve collapses. If it is just 1 or 2 students in the group lessons/individual session, we reduce the lesson to 1,5 hours.

Peniche and Baleal have long been among the best surf spots in Europe.
The constantly breaking waves and the peninsula located far in the ocean provide the best exercises for surfers of every level of performance.
Our accommodation is located just 50 meters from the beach! Meaning: Spotcheck right on your doorstep! Within a few minutes you can reach several surf spots, which the SoulSurfcamp uses for surfing lessons, but also offer great waves for advanced surfers.
The nearby surf shops provide the necessary equipment needed. Right at the Cantinho Da Baia and Lagide beaches you‘ll find numerous bars, bistros and restaurants to hang out and relax at, unwind and party.
Getting Here
You‘ll probably travel to Portugal by plane and either arrive in Lisbon or Porto. There are usually pretty good deals if you fly from Germany, Austria or Switzerland. In case you need help finding or booking a flight don‘t hesitate to ask – we are always happy to help!
We offer a shuttle service to pick you up from the airport (Lisbon or Porto). The price is fixed for each way; if you travel with your friends, it‘s cheaper. There is also the possibility to take a bus to Peniche, in which case we‘re happy to pick you up from the bus station in Peniche. The third solution is going by rental car.
If you choose the bus the pick up and drop of from the bus station Peniche is for free. The shuttle service from/to Lisbon or Porto airports are charged.
