La Graviere
La Graviere is the most famous surf spot in Hossegor and its the chosen site for the annual WSL contest. This break usually has bigger waves than the rest of the beach thanks to Le Fosse de Capreton, a huge deep-water trench that is located just off the coast. The waves at La Graviere usually break close to the shore as A-frames and they are steep and hollow with extra heavy barrels that can be wide open or close out. Surfing at this surf spot can be a test even for the best tube riders in the world. Tide range can be huge making the surfing window very narrow and currents extremely strong. Best conditions happen with W-N swells and E winds.
