Desert Point

Desert Point is a world class surf spot located in the west coast of Lombok. This surf spot has very long and fast left hand waves with multiple barrel sections or if you are lucky one long 20s barrel. There are a few take-off areas that can shift a little bit but usually the deeper you take off the better since the waves are very makable if you are fast enough. Take off is very steep followed by barrel after barrel section. The more the wave breaks the shallower it gets and there is no channel at the end. Make sure you kick out before you end up in dry reef. Desert Point is only recommended for experienced surfers especially when the waves are big. The best conditions happen with large SW groundswells and lower tides. This break is very famous and attracts a barrel hungry crowd so expect some rippers in the line up.
