Cascais team is full of free spirits, flexible and open minded people, who love to help you catching your first waves, having fun, chill and just relax at our happy place.
We have created for you special and very comfortable place with good vibes only. You will love to chill around our swimming pool with good music, barbecue parties and of course cold beer!
At our camp you will meet people from all the world. Amazing people different ages and backgrounds but all of them have one in common: they search for new fun experiences and want to enjoy the beauty of Portugal.
Our teachers and instructors are really passion about yoga, surf culture and healthy lifestyle and they can’t wait to share it with you! THE ACCOMMODATION
Surf house has excellent location. Very close to the beach but still in the city center. You can easily reach our place by public transportation and shops or restaurants are in walking distance.

Surfing
Cascais Surf and Yoga Retreat is located 5 min from Guincho beach and 15 min from Carcavelos and these are the main spots we will take you every day for your surf lessons. Guincho beach is an exposed beach break that works at any time of the year. Offshore wind comes from the east. The optimum swell is west/northwest. You can find here lefts and rights and works at all tides. Our surf school has only certified experienced instructors by either FPS or by ISA. Our surf van will pick you up at the house, take you to the beach for your surf lessons and drop you back at the house again. Surf lesson takes approximately 2 hours but with the trip you can count with around 3-4 hours. Surfboards and wetsuits you can rent are only top quality.

Kite surfing
We can arrange for you kite surf lessons if there are good wind conditions. Lessons are usually taken in Obidos lagoon where it is suitable for all levels. In the summer Praia do Guincho is great for advanced kite surfers.
Climbing
Portugal coast line near Cascais offers many beautiful climbing cliffs and spots. We can organize climbing session for you with our experienced instructors. Just imagine you are hanging on the cliff while you are watching beautiful ocean scenery or green hills around you!
Visiting Sintra
It is really easy to reach Sintra town by car or public transport from our house. You can also stop by Cabo da Roca, Pinanha and Sintra’s Palace de Pena! It’s a magic day trip and you will discover the beauty and history of Portugal.
Summer camps for kids aged 10-14 years old
We love kids! So we decided to organize summer camps for them as well. Combination of sports, education and fun with new friends is the best way how to spend summer! We offer surf lessons, yoga or interesting workshops for our little ones. For more info about our summer camp and availability, please contact us! Places are limited because we like to keep small student-staff ratio.
LOCATION & GETTING HERE
Location
Cascais is a coastal town and a municipality in Portugal, 30 km (19 miles) west of Lisbon. Cascais is surrounded by 17 beautiful beaches, such as Guincho Beach to the west and in the north you can find the lush Sintra mountains. On the shoreline you can find many cliffs, and natural sights. Because of favourable weather and wind and sea conditions, surfing, kitesurfing, sailing or windsurfing are the most popular activities but the area is also known as golf destination, with over 10 golf courses nearby.
Cascais has a climate with mild, wet winters and warm, dry summers. Temperatures in Cascais rarely get below 5 °C (41 °F) in the winter (October – April) or above 30 °C (86 °F) in the summer (May – September).
Our surf house has a premium location! Camp is located right in the heart of Cascais town. The city centre is in walking distance and there is a shuttle bus that takes you around the town or to the beach if you do your surf or kite lessons.
5 min from the house there are 2 buses:Â number 409 and 417 and it takes 10 min to the centre.
Distance to/from the Surf House:
- Train/Bus station (located at 2,6 km) 8 min by car / 30 min by walk / 16 min by bus/ 16 min by bicycle
- Guincho beach (located at 4,7 km) 9 min by car / 30 min by bicycle
- Lisbon (located at 30 km) 30 min by car / 1,5 hour by trainÂ
- Ericeira (located at 45 km) 40 min by car
Getting Here
The best way how to get to Cascais is to fly into Lisbon International AIRPORT.
From the airport you can then take a Taxi, Uber or Train to Cascais and Uber from Cascais train station to our House (cheapest solution).
If you want to rent a car there is plenty of parking space outside and you should rent it at the airport with Europcar that has the lowest rates on average 10 Euro/day.
We don’t offer transfers.

Rock climbing: 70€ for a climbing session per person for beginners/intermediate/advanced at nearby spots
