ASU (Nias)

ASU is one of the Hinako Islands located just 8km (5mi) off Nias]. The island is known for having a long, peeling left hander that lines up and refracts around the northern tip of the island. The waves jacks up and runs down an extremely long and shallow reef requiring lots of speed to make some of the sections. This surf spot can handle lots of size but the waves can get very heavy as well. The earthquake from 2005 raised the reef and made the end section dangerously shallow so be careful.
