INTRODUCTION
Sumatra Beachfront amongst coconut palms Surf Resort is 30 km’s from the township of Krui on the point at Tanjung Setia. It’s about a 4 1/2 drive from Bandar Lampung. Don’t be put off by the drive as it is very scenic with rice fields, small villages and stunning jungle scenery to enjoy on the way down.
The resort is set amongst towering coconut trees which keeps our place cool in the daytime and supply’s our guests with delicious fresh coconut juice. In keeping with the natural beauty of our place the resort is Indonesian themed with 14 individual bungalows fitted with western bathrooms, air con’s and hot water showers, fans and mosquito nets. Bungalows can be configured with queen beds for couples or singles beds for 2 guests. Ocean views are from every bungalow.
Our 10m x 15m pool is great for a dip after a session on the waves and our beach bar is right by the pool. It’s a perfect spot for a cold drink watching our amazing sunsets. Our Warong is the soul of our resort, it includes our restaurant, bar and chill lounge. Enjoy a game of pool or table tennis, watch all the sport LIVE on our large screen TV. We have FoxSports and Netflix plus we stream the WSL. Our meals are wholesome and healthy and no Sparrow sized servings at our place!
Most nights it’s a Buffet style (dependent on number of guests staying) of Indonesian dishes cooked with love and care by our girls. For variety we have Western dishes, BBQ’s and pizza nights.
We cater for every level of surfer due to the variety of waves around us. For non surfing partners there’s plenty to see and do. You can laze around our pool and surf the net, catch a cooking class with our girls, watch a movie on Netflix or go on one of our adventure tours to Banana island, Krui waterfall, or tube down the river.
THE ACCOMMODATION
THE RESORT
All our bungalows are private and free standing. Our bungalows can be configured with queen beds for couples or 2 single beds for twin share. All bungalows have a verandah and are lockable. Bungalows are fitted with western bathrooms with hot water showers, fans, air cons (if required), and mosquito nets. There is an ocean view from every bungalow
The resort has a 10m x 15m swimming pool, a beach bar to watch the sun setting over the ocean. Free WiFi is available in the Warong and pool area. The Warong has a restaurant,bar and chill lounge with a large screen TV to watch all the LIVE sports and Netflix. We also stream the WSL at the bar.
All meals are included in our nightly rate. We cater for all dietary requirements just let us know when you book.
The resort has 14 bungalows and can sleep up to 28 guests.
Bungalows 1,3,6 and 8 are fitted with queen beds for couples. Bungalows 2,4,5,7,9,10,11,12,13 and 14 are fitted with single beds for twin share.
THE ACTIVITIES
THE WAVES
The main surf season runs from April to November the Roaring Forties send plenty of 2-4m swells through April-November (high season). The SSW direction is perfect for our SW facing area. Ujung Bocur our break out front is the regions longest and best left handed reef break. It ranges from heavy dredging barrels to long down the line carveable performance walls with rides in excess of 200m. The sheer length of our wave handles any crowd well. Ujung Bocur is super consistent and handles large swells well.
Water temperature all year round is about 28.5 degrees so no need for wet suits.
December-March is our off season. It’s way less crowded and cheaper. If you don’t mind cruising around you will always find a nice wave within 30 minutes of our resort
There’s a heap of quality breaks close by. Mandiri Beach is 15 minutes north of us and on it’s day it goes off left and right but best to get there early before the wind kicks in. A further 10 minutes past Mandiri Beach is Krui Left, Krui Right and The Peak. if it’s too big out front chances are that Krui will be perfect.About an hour past Krui is Jenny’s Right, Honeysmacks and Jimmy’s. These are pretty serious waves with some nice barrel sections and carveable walls. Always best to check with us before going up in case it ain’t pumping. Just south of the camp about 15 minutes is Way Jambu or as we call it Sumatran Pipe. This is a gnarly monster with some of the best barrels in Indo, it’s not for the feint hearted. Bali village is just past Way Jambu and is a nice fun with wave particularly popular with body boarders.
Whatever you surf, longboards, body boards, SUP’s or performance boards you will always score a good session here.

ADVENTURE TOURS
If you need a break from surfing we have a range of activities for you.
- Take a trip over to Banana Island and do some snorkeling or just chill on the sandy beaches*
- Go hiking to Krui Waterfall*
- Go tubing down the river and spot the wildlife*
- Grab some of our fishing gear and go catch dinner
- *These activities need to be booked 24 hours in advance, cost for each activity is different.
LOCATION & GETTING HERE
LOCATION
Our home break is right out front so just grab your board and paddle out. To get to the other waves best to hire a scooter to get around on. The roads are good and it’s nothing like Bali traffic. There’s a ding repair shop, surf shop just a short walk down the road. There are Indomarts and petrol stations 5 minutes away by scooter.There are several surf camps and coffee shop/restaurants all within walking distance if you need a change of scenery.
Getting Here
From Jakarta grab a domestic flight across to Bandar Lampung. We can meet you at the airport and bring you down in a private air conditioned car. Airlines that fly to Bandar Lampung from Jakarta are; Garuda Indonesia, Lion Air and Sriwijaya Air. Garuda is the most popular as it has lot’s of flights daily and boards are included in your luggage allowance.
Wings Air fly to Krui from Bandar Lampung on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday, check their website for details. The flight down to Krui is only about 30 minutes. NOTE: They do NOT guarantee to take boards in advance!!
If you want to save some money you can grab the bus down from Rajabasa Bus Terminal. Get on the Krui Putra bus. It takes about 7 hours. Buses go at 7.00am, 8.00am and 9.00am.

ACCOMMODATION
Prices starts at USD 25 per person per night in low season and USD 40 in high season. This includes all meals and free tea coffee and water.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS
Each car is air conditioned and takes 4 passengers. We always try to get guests to share a car to reduce this cost. Check prices and availability.

SURF LESSONS
Learnt to surf lessons are available at camp for BEGINNERS only.
Each lessons goes for 90 minutes. This is a seasonal activity only.
