Surfing in Southwest Panama

Southwest Panama has a big variety of surf breaks to be explored. The offshore island near the northern border of the country can provide world class waves on the right conditions while the mainland has incredible and consistent surf spots like Santa Catalina. Usually less crowded than the famous neighbor Panam deserves more credit as a great surf destination.

The best surf spots are Cambutal, Emily’s (Morro Negrito), Nestles, Leftovers, P-Land, Sandbar, The Point, La Barqueta, Las Rajas, Playa Venao, Santa Catalina, Playa Reina and Playa Morrillo.
