Facilities<\/h2>\n\n\n
A very recently refurbished\u00a0surf charter, designed and adapted for surfers by surfers. The vessel, supplied of all imaginable comforts to enjoy your surf charter in Maldives islands.<\/p>\n

For unexpected situation, we have an office in in Male that keep permanent contact with the boat and organize\u00a0the logistic necessary for each trip.<\/p>\n

The surf charter is equipped with, GPS, sounder, radar, USB radio 16 channels. There is a large terrace on the up deck where the covers of the surfboards are stored, perfect place to view the waves and enjoy our bar where we offer a wide range of fresh fruit juice, soft drinks, liquors, wine and beer. As for safety, the vessel is equipped with, life jackets, oxygen, first aid kit and fire extinguishers. The boat also has snorkeling equipment and local style fishing gears.<\/p>\n

SOUTHERN CROSS has 12 bedrooms. Each room has a bathroom. air conditioning, individual spacious beds and personal wardrobe. There is also a spacious living room with a dining table, comfortable sofas, TV, DVD, optional WIFI and completely equipped kitchen.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>

Surf<\/h3>\n
Prepare yourself for surfing a few times a day at least ! The best surf breaks are on the outer reefs, one very close to the other.. It will be easy to find good surf !<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Maldives<\/strong> has some of the best waves in the world<\/strong>. Its waves roll perfectly over live shallow reefs and are not considered super powerful as swell normally doesn’t reach higher than 2 or 2.5 meters.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
Surf in Maldives<\/strong> is famous for its warm water temperatures all year round, perfect barrels<\/strong> and long funny waves<\/strong> with amazing surrounding scenarios. No doubt the Maldives are the ideal surf trip for intermediate<\/strong> and advanced surfers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n

North Male Atolls<\/h2>\n\n\n
The North Male Atolls<\/strong> have been popular with surfers for quite some time thanks to a variety of spots<\/strong> that stay fairly consistent, especially in the prime summer months when south swells are in abundance<\/strong>. There is an assortment of spots scattered around these idyllic islands ranging from long points to hollow sucking barrels that can accommodate all levels of surfing<\/strong>. Although west to southwest winds are the norm at this time of year many of the breaks in this island reef chain are well protected and will remain clean, while others will be offshore. Crowding can sometimes be an issue because of the relatively easy access of the breaks courtesy of the many boats in this wave rich zone and due to the resorts that shuttle surfers out to the breaks.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
Central\/ Southern Atolls<\/h2>\n\n\n
The Central Atolls<\/strong> including the Meemu<\/strong>, Thaa<\/strong> and Laamu<\/strong> and the Outer (Southern) Atolls<\/strong> including Gaafu Dhaalu<\/strong> and Addu offer more than 30 world class reef breaks <\/strong>that are rarely surfed. All three atolls have great exposure to south swells<\/strong> and there are plenty of reef-pass setups that will often see big waves.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
The beauty of surfing these island chains is that there are many spots within a short distance of each other and waves that will accommodate every level of surfing. As the only means of access to these atolls is by charter boat<\/strong>, those lucky enough to have ventured there have been reaping the rewards, and with nobody else around.
